Motor cutoff thumb button for Cycle Analyst

A lot like VO Crazy bars, but those have fixed extensions so not possible to put on a stem without a removable faceplate. I had a technical issue with the S flag, fixed now so back to setting up a switch...

Intermittent speed flag on Cycle Analyst

Hayley at Grin tech support sent the fix. I changed the DS Gain to zero and the S flag has stopped turning on, except at the max limit where it is supposed to. I think this is because the signal is noisy as amberwolf says. Noise looks like a high rate of speed change, and sets off the...

Intermittent speed flag on Cycle Analyst

It is very consistent at this mid speed around 10 to 12 mph. I have not seen it happen going up the same hill at slower speed of 6-8 mph at the same 600 W power (I pedal easier). Very odd.

Intermittent speed flag on Cycle Analyst

Thank you. The motor is a Shengyi SX1 from Grin. I do not know if the speed sensor is one of the halls. Per Grin: "Combined Speed and Temperature Sensor: These motors were custom made with a combined speed + thermistor signal on the white wire of the Z910 motor cable. When paired with our...

Intermittent speed flag on Cycle Analyst

I tried increasing DSGain, up to 1500 by steps, no change. Then tried decreasing PSGain, down to 1 by steps, also no change. Maybe these are not the problem? Rolling along at the same sort of speed, 10 to 12 mph, on flat ground I am not seeing the problem. It is only when powered up going...

Intermittent speed flag on Cycle Analyst

I have a V3 Cycle Analyst with V4 Baserunner_Z9 running an SX1 front hub motor, 48 V battery. 12 pole PAS only, no throttle. The Baserunner settings are the default just downloaded again from Grin. It all works fine except that riding uphill at 10 to 12 mph with 500 to 700 W power the motor...

Motor cutoff thumb button for Cycle Analyst

Thanks. I only have the Grin 2 button control, and not much room on the bar, like this: https://www.flickr.com/photos/ricks_boats/52603413565/in/album-72177720303403774/lightbox/ It looks like pretty much any switch will work, I am looking for one I can glue to the side of the Grin switches...

Motor cutoff thumb button for Cycle Analyst

Ha, I was thinking of spraying it silver! Would look like a high flange hub.

Motor cutoff thumb button for Cycle Analyst

Mine is dead simple, PAS only no throttle and no regen. It is my steel touring bike to be used as a commuter on the road. The thumb cutoff is useful, both for downshifting and for when I have to slow pedal past a few gates. This is the bike set up now...

Motor cutoff thumb button for Cycle Analyst

Thanks. I have one of those on my BBSHD mid drive. Was not sure it was just a simple NO switch, as I saw some mention of a delay circuit, but if it works I will get another.

Motor cutoff thumb button for Cycle Analyst

I am setting up a front hub motor using Grin Cycle Analyst V3. I am not using brake cutoff levers, but do want a thumb activated button (normally open, press to close) to cut off the motor at times. Grin says they do not sell such a button but if I find one I could connect to the open brake...
