I'm looking at bikes with the Performance Line CX.
The Bosch website says they have 85nm of torque with a max power of 600W but these would increase if you derestrict them.
Has anybody got experience in how the motor does after derestricting? Whether it's the chip or the magnet derestriction...
Riding fast on the grass to overtake people using the sidewalk/mixed use paths. Higher speeds on paved surfaces.
I do like torque sensing but for large distances and high speeds, I imagine cadence sensing might be more practical. Thanks for sharing your experience.
It seems that a lot of the comfort bikes are already ebikes. I'll either have to convert one or derestrict one, as the shelf ebikes are limited to 25km/h here. I'll find a step through bikes that are worth derestricting with my budget.
Trying to keep it at $1500 AUD.
I have 60 18650 cells but...
I bought some cells but I haven't used them yet. I've seen reports of them selling counterfeit cells. I wish I didn't now.

I read a thread that said that the TSDZ2 and BBS02 mid drive motors both caused the rider to spread their feet too wide and that caused them knee damage over time.

Has anybody else experienced this?

That looks cool!
I did try an ebike that had fenders with suspension and it could be a good candidate for fast commuting along trails. Whatever makes the bikes the most comfortable is what I'm looking for.
Hi. I tried out a bunch of bikes recently and I realised that the bike I enjoy riding the most is a mountain bike due to the suspension and control I have.
I would like to use a mountain bike with full fenders (to not get my work clothes dirty) and potentially a rear rack too.
Is it easy to...
I've just found the Trek Verve Lowstep series and they look really cool. Are there any other bikes that rival these as potential step through conversions?
These are the models I've found (Australian dollars).

That's hilarious.
Thanks everyone for the advice. I should try some bikes before getting my own one.
After riding a mountain bike, I really want to ride something as close to a road bike as possible while still being able to go on all terrain. I'm looking at this bike. Maybe this will fit a...
I've been looking at reviews for gravel bikes and am thinking I'd rather have a more upright position to be more comfortable since I suspect I won't care as much about wind resistance. Although can this be done while having good handling? I'm also wondering if having a motor makes the bike more...
Thanks guys. I am just going to go online and look at guides for this kind of thing to make sure I get everything. I was hoping to avoid the time it takes to ship everything so if there's anything that takes particularly long to ship, then that would be good to know. I'm enjoying learning how to...
