    Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

Oh yeah, here is my video I have sent to Artur and Adaptto/Oleg. Maybe you can identify your problem with mine? Here's my video of Protect mode problem. Oleg said it's a phase short leaving the board only partially alive. I'm sending it back for repair. And I'll open up my motor to see if I...

    Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

Thanks Das. I've contacted Oleg, response was fast. He suggests a firmware upgrade and that I send him video of the problem. If that doesn't get me out of "Protect" I may be sending mine back also.

    Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

Another question about "Protect" mode. I've got a Mini-E old version, 20s, Leaf Motor, Vector frame, 1000kms so far on this setup. At the top of a hill I climb regularly at 40 amps the display showed "Protect" for the first time, no throttle response, cogging of motor to make it hard to pedal...

    servicing in toronto area?

You can send him a PM through his repair thread http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=27170 If you give up on them I might buy them from you, see what's busted and what can be fixed. CellMan (Paul) and his top-notch packs can be found at...

    Battery wiring

You might want to get rid of the lead batteries altogether. I've taken apart 4 of these 24v Razor scooters and replaced the lead batteries with lithium cells. Gives a much more robust ride, reduces weight, and speeds things up if you want to go faster. You'd need a new charger, but you could...

    servicing in toronto area?

To respond to the Toronto servicing question, you could shoot SteveO a PM. He built an 18650 battery for me several years ago and had a repair thread up here at some point. He was in Woodbridge last time I met him (2 years ago). The trouble-shooting responses above could help you figure out...

    18650 battery calculator?

Page 14 of this thread has a few instructions http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=57291 I used it to create this although I can't remember how I did the scaling of my uploaded frame photo.

How do I destructively remove a freewheel Finished

Glad it worked out for you. To add to a dying conversation, last year I went to a local metal shop and had them drill out the center of my freewheel tool so it would fit over my axles. Cost $15, more than the tool itself cost, but it works now. I've also angle-ground off a single speed...

Cycle Analyst and Set#Poles on a MAC 500w

Below is an excerpt from an email Paul (cellman) sent me about that very question. I'm now using an external shunt stand-alone CA and a wheel magnet with my Mac. "The 12 fet should have a shunt resistance of approx 1mohm. The Mac has an effective pole count of 80 due to a 16 pole motor and a...

How to monitor a ping battery

I've bought 5 of these things http://www.ebay.ca/itm/260754656007 to monitor charge and discharge levels on lower voltage batteries. I've also got a few cycle analysts, which gives you much more data and control when riding. But for simple monitoring of amp hours used on batts less than 60...

    Softtail?

What's the maximum travel with this design? 0.5in, 1.0in? The KHS is between 3/4 and 1" according to their website. I think I might add a suspension seatpost to my setup for a bit of extra cush.

    Softtail?

Oh ya, the pivot is just the chain stays bending upwards. I.e. there is no real pivot like on a full-suspension bike.

    Softtail?

I recently bought one of these frames thru the ES buy/sell page. KHS doesn't make them anymore. When I was researching it pre-purchase, the online mountain bike crowd seemed to think that it was only a KHS thing, kind of a curiosity, but many loved the design for its relative stiffness...

DoctorBass's new toy: KMX TYPHOON **UPDATE 29 may 2011**

Doc, I bought a few similar tires for my e-scooters from a local shop here in Toronto for $35 each. If you look around at scooter/ebike shops in QC you might be able to find a 16x2.25. If not, PM me and I'll send you some.
