    Troubleshooting - Need Help Please

The build is a 72v 15ah life04 battery system, Cycle Analyst, twist throttle, Crystalyte HS3540 rear hub motor, Inferon 72 V Controller.... I ran this build (Norco Charger, Bangor Maine) for the first time last fall with no problems. It got up to 47mph and it was a blast to ride back and forth...

Ever Been Pulled Over by Police on Your eBike?

A free voucher sounds nice, but no.... there are turkeys about in the area though. Yes, so far everyone has been very nice - except for a few car drivers - about the ebike and very interested, police included. Everyone is looking for ways to save money and reduce gas consumption, so most folks...

Ever Been Pulled Over by Police on Your eBike?

That sounds really dangerous what happened to you. I have a pretty narrow bike lane crossing a bridge and there usually cars and trucks will crowd me. IF that happens, I will take to the sidewalk, which I know is not legal, but it gets me out of dangerous squeeze zone.

Ever Been Pulled Over by Police on Your eBike?

That is not nationwide though. In Maine, there is no set limit..... Is this true where you live and, if so, how well is it enforced?

Ever Been Pulled Over by Police on Your eBike?

I just was last night here in Maine. Yes, it is true and so funny too! I was riding the ebike home tonight during my commute and noticed the Veazie, Maine Police car swing in behind me. I knew I was going the speed limit, but he pulled me over just as we got to the Veazie/Bangor line. He was...

Vicky's NORCO Charger Build - Bangor Maine

Thanks - I had the box made up using fiberglass and black dye by a guy (Terry J.) in the area who created the box. He did a fantastic job! Not too sure at all about the snow. I have a Subaru Outback with heated seats for that. :) I know that I would not like to ride it if there is snow or ice on...

Vicky's NORCO Charger Build - Bangor Maine

Thanks for the comments. The torque arms I got from ebikekit did NOT fit like a glove. It seems that the new HS3540 bolt diameter is slightly smaller than previous versions and so the fit was not so precise. So, I am getting torque plates for both sides that fit. I will post the results. I will...

Vicky's NORCO Charger Build - Bangor Maine

Hi Brentis, Thanks for the reply. Yes, I've bought the Headways. It's a done deal now. Being my first build, I did a good bit of learning and tried to find the best batteries for the ebike of which there are MANY choices. I chose the Headways and will let people know how it turned out. Vicky

Vicky's NORCO Charger Build - Bangor Maine

Thanks for all the information, which is indeed endless, I have chosen to build an e-bike using a NORCO Charger frame, which I got from ebay. It has a few scratches, but nothing major and it is made of 7005 Aluminum. I am getting torque plates made at this time to strengthen the frame where the...
