My Bafang Ultra Mountain Bike! Frey AM1000

This thread is a wonderful source of information for a great factory e-bike, I'm glad it's up and running! :thumb: My HT1000

    Frey AM1000 vol. 2

It's a shame the other thread is locked. To me, that's like tossing out the baby with the bathwater. Deal with the people that are causing the problem. Now all of that information is going to sink to the bottom of the forum never to be seen again. What a waste, the mods should have dealt with...

The Frey HT1000 - And yes, HT stands for Hardtail! *updated*

Awwww, man! I'm gettin' screwed! I couldn't get the tires I wanted, now they have them. Then I get a rear rack that I can't use without modifying, now they have an improved rack. What next, maybe they'll offer Jones H-Bars? Yeah, the orange does look good.

I got my software here, I don't know if there is a newer version though. https://electricbike-blog.com/2017/11/23/i-void-warranties-hacking-the-bafang-ultra-max-mid-drive-ebike-drive/

You are going to love it, I'm very happy with mine! I wish that Frey would have had the Super Moto-X when I ordered, those are the tires I wanted.

Yes, when I ordered mine that is what I paid.

Hello Cam It will arrive in Richmond, from there FedEx will contact you to resolve the Customs charges. I did have the bike delivered to Victoria but it did not come through FedEx if was with a 3rd party and I did not pay extra. I'm 30" as well and went with the medium frame and am happy with...

The hardtail is the one I was after, suspension is nice but nothing beats a rigid frame for mounting bags and carrying stuff.

Where or how does one get the latest programming software for the G510?

Thieves suck! I hope you get it back. If they want your stuff it's almost impossible to stop them, even still, this is why I'm buying $300+ of chain and lock. They'll need to work for it.

Ok, been busy but I've had some time to run it around the block a once or twice. It's great. The medium frame fits me well at 5' 10.5". It's well put together. Everything came out of the box tight and proper with the exception of a few tweaks to get the brake levers on the same plane, and a...

My Bafang Ultra Mountain Bike! Frey AM1000

Does anyone have any input on the charger that comes with the Frey bike, I'm talking about the 54.6V 5A Smart Charger for the AM and HT 1000s. What makes it 'smart?'

The Frey HT1000 - And yes, HT stands for Hardtail! *updated*

Great news. I've not gotten to the shipping arrangments yet so I don't know if I'll be able to get it dropped in Victoria or if I'm stuck going into Van. I was thinking about using a warehouse and doing the customs clearance myself but for just $80 I'll let someone else deal with the paperwork.

How did your experience with shipping work out? I'm going to be shipping to Victoria. Did you use a sufferance warehouse or just let FedEx handle the customs clearance?

It sounds like we've planned out a similar approach. I'm also going with the M8000 and the 11-46T. I've also planned on swapping out the stock Maxxis tires for a set of Super-Motos. The Gear Sensor upgrade was a must too, in fact, I think that Frey should make it standard equipment on their...

Well after being sidelined for about 5 months I'm back and finalizing my order. I'm curious about which groupset you went with for your bike and the cassette ratio you're using?

It's my understanding at the moment that will not take a plus size 27.5 wheel, a standard 27.5 would likely fit. I've asked Ivy to clarify the dropout width. I hope I'm wrong about it not fitting a plus size, I really like the bike and would like to own one.

No, I mean the HT1000 will not, the AM1000 does. There was some talk on this thread of the hardtail, so in my disappointment at the news that I had waited for months for nothing, I posted to this one and the other thread that is for the HT1000. no bike for me. . . :(
