    Thanks guys. Some good ideas to think about. Definitely going to work in a charger and see how that will go. Busing to this new place takes minimum 45 minutes. Google maps said if I bike, I can make it by 30 minutes. Hurray for ebike!

    Sorry for not enough information. It is a hill but isn't that bad. The overall elevation is something like 40 meters for the entire one way trip. Weight is nearly 300 lbs. From the reply above with 2miles per AH. It seems I will make it using 6.9AH as long as I pedal with the motor. Thanks all!

    Why not sell your car and your ebikes and grab a pure electric car from Tesla Motors? 160 miles range standard. Can be upgraded to 230 miles or even 300 miles.

    I'm afraid to open up the perfect black shrink wrapped they are in. Is it hard to _series_ them? I don't have any welding experience. Worst part is I'm in Canada! It seems all the good merchants/tweakers are in US. That mean I can't just asked someone to series them for me.

    Holy sheesh. Now that is good investigative work right here. That Shadow bike definitely is too flashy. Why does ebike manufactures need to make ebike *different* from the normal type? They are doing the same thing with electric cars - making them uglier in the process.

    My batttery is a packed kit from Cell_man. I think it has a BMS in it but I'm not sure. That is interesting, I didn't realize the BMS is responsible for "cut off" feature. I thought it was the charger that is responsible for that.

    Very interesting articles and original post. In the article, it said 3D printers can create metal parts. Would that not be a better choice to make ebike parts in instead of brittle plastic? Maybe that is why it only lasted a year?

    How do I "keep an eye" on a premade A123 pack? Its sealed tight. Looking at the picture above. How would I know which part is the BMS? Cell_man is on vacation so I have to wait until he come back if I need to ask him. Hopefully someone has his battery and know.

    I have a pre-build A123 pack from Cell_man. Definitely have to learn about LIPO and stuff. Seems very flexible when it comes to setup.
