    Batteries, What Do You Think?

Let's talk batteries for my next one ebike. I am no expert, I have been in this less than a year, and I have been going back and forth with Justin @ Grin, Paul @ Emissions Free (Two great guys by the way), and even got in contact with a couple others (ping, e-bikekit, etc.) to piece together the...

How do you build a battery, exactly?

Hi, I am interested in building a 72v or a larger setup, like a 100V. Something that can reach and sustain 40mph, at least, using ebikes.ca's NC26RD_Fast (9C 2806 hub wheel). I will upgrade the controller to the 40A one (I guess the best one on their site). My question is, how do you build a...

    Front road bike hub motor?

Can anyone recommend a front 700c motor? Probably just a 36v max. I am on a budget, so if you can suggest a decent quality (even eBay, I am unfamiliar with which sellers are good) one for as cheap as possible. I am just looking to get about 20-25mph average on a steel cyclocross bike. I have...

    Disc Brakes?

Hi, I have a yescomusa 48v 1000w kit and the hub is threaded on both sides. Is there a way to attach a disc brake on the non-drive side? What would I need? I have tried to do some research, but have come up with nothing. If I cannot retro-fit a disc brake on my hub, is there another kit that...

    Building a 72v battery pack?

Hi, I haven't posted in a while, but I have the yescomusa 1000w 48v rear 26 inch kit with a sun-thing28 48v 15ah battery pack. I am looking to get a little more speed and from the readings I have been doing it seems a 72v 10ah or 15ah (whatever is fessable) will do the trick. Couple questions...

    Question about temperature and operation

The cold months are coming soon and I wanted to know what role temperature played on the motor and battery. I have a yescomusa 48V 1000W kit with a sun-thing48 (eBay seller) 48V 15ah LiFePO4 battery. I will be storing this thing in a shed that is not temperature controlled and possibly riding it...

How do I hook up this BMS Charger?

I got a charger (48V4A) charger from BMS Battery. The kind with the aluminum shell and a fuse. The end that hooks to the battery is just two stripped wires (blue and brown). Is there some sort of plug I need to splice to it so it will work with my sun-thing48 LiFePO4 48V 15ah battery? Thanks guys!

Charger making a high pitch sound?

Why is my charger making a high pitch sound. It's a 48V 3A charger from china, plastic cover, and when it's plugged up (even when not charging) it has a high pitch sound. Why?

    Issue with both chargers!!

I accidentally (was talking to someone else and the plugs look similar) plugged the charger to the controller plug. It sparked and popped and is no good now (unless it's an easy fix?) Then I plugged the charger that came with my yescomusa kit into the battery and the wall and it blew too...

How do I hook up this battery?

I have a yescomusa 48v 1000w kit, stock controller. How is the world do I hook it up to the 48v 15ah LiFePo4 sun-thing48 (eBay seller) batter? The only thing out of the battery is a black and red cord and a 3 prong socket for the charger. Thanks in advance for your help!!

Just got my kit in, have a few concerns...

Just got my yescomusa 48v 1000w kit in. Torque arm on the way, e-biktkit.com freewheel tool on the way, and battery from sunthing48 on the way. It's going on a Sun Cruz 7 (and fitting perfectly). A couple of questions now, as I hook it all up while I wait for the rest of the parts. 1. The motor...

What do you think of this?

Here is my first ebike plan. Have been told these should be good batteries for the money. Battery: http://www.ebay.com/itm/140612154367?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 This is the yescomusa 1000w 48v kit if I am not mistaken! Kit...

    Cheaper batteries than ping?

I know I am going to get a yescomusa 1000w 48V kit and have seen the ping batteries (http://www.pingbattery.com/servlet/the-12/48V-15AH-V2.5-LiFePO4/Detail), but is there something less expensive, and still 15ah, than the pings without sacrificing too much quality?

    Torn between two options

I recently sold my car and I am sitting on a chunk of money. I want a recumbent trike as a car replacement for a while (much more fun than a car) and I am torn between two options. I was lots of speed obviously, and decent range. I have discovered the FFR Transition One trike (the 411R in...

    What Kits are the Fastest?

I want to, primarily, get a feel for the different kits that are out there as I am new to the electric conversion scene. Obviously we love speed. So what are the most powerful kits that are out there and where can you get them along with their prices?

    Question About this Setup

Hi, I am new to the forum, but not new to the bike world. I recently just ordered a Sun Tadpole T3 CX and I want it electrified! It will basically be my car replacement. I have done much research, though I am still a novice as far as the very technical stuff goes, and found that this eBay kit...
