    That issue was in the vid to, just use a normal spoke wrench and dremel it out to the 12Ga width. Glad you had no problems drilling the holes, the round file is recommended so you do not risk over-boring the holes and having to junk the rim.

    If you are running in rain a lot, make sure the motor's wire outlet has a rain loop to allow drips to fall off the wiring as opposed to leading water into your motor housing. Also, might look into ways to add silicone at various locations to make it more waterproof. :D
