    My son's 24'' MTB conversion

It's based on this one : http://www.avdweb.nl/tech-tips/spot-welder.html I've replaced the Inverse parallel SCRs (I burnt) with a SSR from ebay ( http://www.ebay.fr/itm/24V-380V-40A-250V-SSR-40-DA-Solid-State-Relay-Module-3-32V-DC-To-AC-/310733040176 ). I've modified the firmware to support...

    My son's 24'' MTB conversion

Yes of course ! Double checked ! It doesn't touch in any case, even with me (90Kg, twice the weight of my son) on it, pushing and braking as tough as I can. The fork got only about 50mm effective travel.

Don't ride on tram lines !

Very informative thread, a must-read for those who got tram lines or rail roads on the path. I hoppe you recover soon neptronix. Here's where sh*t happens : It was 6:00 AM, a bit dark, I was looking at the tram and didn't noticed the rail changing path. I know the place very well but it...

Don't ride on tram lines !

I used to ride on tram lines but with tires thicker than rail inner-width. This thiner one got stucked in a rail while a tram was coming. I was riding at 30km/h and jumped off the bike just in time. I'm lucky, I'am almost OK (some scratches, hurting shoulder). Lesson learnt : Don't ride on tram...

    Water Bottle Battery .. bmsbattery.com

Got one of these batteries too. I shorted it while connecting (my mistake). So changed the fuse (20A) but the battery output was still to 2V instead of 42V. It seems the BMS has blown too :( So be gentle with this battery, the fuse can't do all, at least it was useless for me. Edit : I've...

    Which Battery is this?

Alternatively you can measure voltage output of the charger. If battery is LiPo should be near 30V for "24V" and near 42V for "36V".

    Which Battery is this?

You might have a controler in the black box below the battery (on the bike). 24V or 36V might be written on the controler. Just unscrew to open this box (under the bike I suspect). Controler is under this plate. Nominal voltage written on controler.

Charging 48V battery with 36V charger + 12V power supply

Nothing really new here, I post it for noobs (like me) who ask themselves how to do an emergency charging without the proper charger ...
