    BBSHD or Cyclone 3kW?

I guess power means many different things to different people. If your coming from the MX world with no intentions of pedaling, expect to pop wheelies, throw rooster tails, better stick with the two strokes. You did say you thought a "50 pound dirt bike" would be fun. Well even the 3Kw will...

    bbs02 steep hill best practices?

QUOTE "i tried riding up a steep hill today. it's pretty short (only 0.21 miles) but it goes up around 100 ft and grade starts at around 7% and goes up to 25% so it's really steep." First off you have no clue what a 25% incline is, your going "up about 100 feet in .21 miles, or 1108 feet...

Help on BBSHD Options for Townie Balloon 7i EQ

Old school, hardly, all BBSxx's are quite new and the stunners have the newer upgraded Mosfets, and I guess? all the watts we're aloud on the road with here in Canada. (36V, 500W) I only got it a short time ago, and because it is winter I haven't had much of a chance to try it long distance...

Help on BBSHD Options for Townie Balloon 7i EQ

Was thinking the same thing, I did get one of those STUNNERS from BIKTRIX, and I wouldn't mind getting a fork with disc brake mounts. If anyone knows...I'm all ears. Still a rather noob myself here, so don't know how to watch threads, etc. but will try to keep an eye on this. To the O.P. hope...

    Cheap chargers, and balancing ?

THANK YOU VERY MUCH Mr. Dogman. That is what I was looking for, I appreciate the time you took to explain it well. I have a volt meter, and know the charger puts out 41.8, will monitor, and know for sure what is going on. Rick. Too cold to ride here now...but soon.

    Cheap chargers, and balancing ?

Thanks again Syonyk, I think I agree with with some time left on green---at least some of the time ?. For a more basic of question, yet important of one I would have expected a tiny bit more of explanation.

    Cheap chargers, and balancing ?

Thanks _______ for the reply. (sorry for the blanks, but after hitting post I can't see that info) I do wish the manufacturer would have left at least "some" instruction ? Ridiculous really. I do believe the battery does have a BMS, although I admit that is blind faith, but supposedly a good...

    Cheap chargers, and balancing ?

Best title I could think of. Question is; is one of those cheap chargers that typically come with kits, having only a red light (while charging) / green light (when full charged) are the cells balanced when the green light comes on ? or should one leave it plugged in when the green light comes...

New 52 volt battery putting out 30.1 volts, wont charge

I've done a fair amount of Ebaying, and I'm near 100% sure a paypal dispute must be opened within 45 days of purchase, so forget that. Keep in mind I'm also a newb, but read a lot in the last few months...OK. Seems your way below LVC and there is likely no way to charge it "normally" however...

Taking a chance on Alibaba (K Power battery)

Thanks, I never ran across that NKON site before. But their price is equal to a ready made battery. I have not seen loose cells for sale on either Luna cycle or ebikes.ca ? The member Tumich seems to have the best prices that I've ever seen personally. I just bought a ready made STUNNER...

Taking a chance on Alibaba (K Power battery)

Where are the cheap loose cells ? My somewhat limited searching and a few pages of notes have come up with cells that would cost me what a completed, quality battery would cost say from Luna, and that's not counting sourcing, and shipping the other parts, wire, nickle strips, BMS, and spot...

    Tubular 18650 solderless pack

THANKS VERY much Idlemind. 1) I agree with you, that because it is easy, and pretty quick to take apart you can check individual cells often. I understand about the flashlight's low spring pressure,...and the low draw of a light bulb. I don't intend to spin my wheels, so a modest 10 AMPS...

    Tubular 18650 solderless pack

I certainly like the idea of no solder/weld packs. I'm an E-bike newb, waiting for my new Stunner, but already thinking about a "spare" battery. And thinking of building it myself. the first question that came to my mind was could I series together in a flashlight manner. Which led me to this...

BBS02 PAS....torque or rotation detection + Display question

I really don't get what all the fuss is about with respect to tapping the brake or stop pedaling for a second to shift, has none of those many (not just this post BTW) people who complain about this very minor thing ever drove a standard shift car, motorcycle ? Do they not let off the gas, or...

BBS02 question, crank arm width ?

Thanks Dogboy for the measurements. I checked a couple of normal bikes, as they usually have bent, or splayed crank arms, the Q factor at the pedals is about 7 inches or 180 mm. I noticed that the crank arms that come with the kit are straight so the difference is small "around" 1/2" / 12mm...

Thanks Jon, after 50 years learned something...Q factor.

BBS02 question, crank arm width ?

The crank arm width on a "normal" bike is about 5" from center of one crank to the center of the other, how much wider apart are they on the BBS02 ? Roughly will do, as I had one of those IGO's (for a day) with the weird mid drive, and it seemed the cranks were a lot wider than a stock bike...

    Buying Ebike require Feedback!!

Sorry Joepah, don't want any "magic pie" either, Canadian company or no, Regen braking is just code for "don't coast for sht". Like I said in my beginning post I can already travel 25-30 miles no problem by my self, I just want some help to extend that range, and maybe some help on hills...

    Buying Ebike require Feedback!!

Thank You Joepah for the "serious reply" I was begining to think maybe this place was not so serious with that first reply showing me what he did. I will check that out. I do believe in my web surfing I did see that "magic pie" term before. Besides with better weather coming fast, quicker...

    Buying Ebike require Feedback!!

No, not interested in either of those, but did look at that company as seem to have best prices, however when filling out the "KIT' form it seems you have to select all 3 battery types...so that's messed up. I guess one could email them. Thinking I like the motoers that GBK sells and still want...

    Buying Ebike require Feedback!!

Hi everyone I'm new (post one) but super interested. I've already got a couple of good links from this post. ESP. regarding prices. Anyway ahead of myself. I am a total newb, and I'll do my best to "fix" my profile so you all will know where I'm at, basically I've had two test drives. One was...
