Best place to buy batteries in Australia

Morning all, if i decide to rebuild or replace my Dillenger battery (36v, 10ah) where is the best place to go. I am in Western Aus so i guess local is the best if anyone locally imports? Can you buy the battery packs pre made or is it best to construct ones own, I have no experience doing so :D...

    Dillenger batteries????

Hi, yes, lithium ion and never discharged fully and always charged after use. Must be poor quality cells, dissapointing as these Dillenger batteries are $499 and I would expect them to last. So, how do I go about testing these cells? What special equipment do I need? Cheers again

    Dillenger batteries????

Thanks for replies. After use when I charge battery the light on the charger goes red for some time then goes green and stays green. I assume this means battery fully charged. Is it usual to only get 18 months of light use out of these batteries? It seems to defeat the purpose of electric bikes...

    Dillenger batteries????

Sorry, my bad. The hill was not 4km, i rode for about 4km then went up a hill, probably on 100m or so and the battery cut out. Always charge my battery when home from ride and when I ride to work(15km) i charge at work and at home so battery never discharges fully. Cheers

    Dillenger batteries????

Afternoon peeps, after some advice again on Dillenger 36v batteries. Tats (forum member) helped me out 18 odd months ago when my original dillenger battery decided to die after about 9 months. The replacement dillenger supplied (under warranty) is now doing the same thing after 18 months of...

    Dillenger 250 watt

Thanks for the reply Sam, the speedo and the odometer are not working, the battery indicator is working. I have taken the small battery in the speedo unit out and replaced it, it now flashes with a LU i think it is and returns to the normal screen but still no speedo. Cheers

    Dillenger 250 watt

Falling off is the downside to riding bikes I guess. Recieved my battery and controller back from dillenger and all is good once again. Dillenger replaced my battery with a new one so that was very nice. Only problem with the service i recieved was that it was a bit slow but i guess I am not the...

Howdy Tats, Hope the new crank drive is doing the job for you. Popped your controller on to my bike and took it for a ride and does not appear much better than before, not as good as new, thats for sure. I will send my controller off tomorrow, thanks again for your help. The battery from green...

    Dillenger 250 watt

Any one in Perth WA know where you can get Lithium Ion Polymer batteries tested. I am thinking I have a Dead cell in my pack, is cutting out after about 13 - 16 km. It is a Dillenger 10ah, 36 volt kit. Dillenger keep insisting it is the controller but when I use my friends battery (exactly the...

    Dillenger Conversion Kit | 250w | 36v | 10Ah

Clicked over 1000km on my kit yeterday. Still going strong, new front wheel maybe a little noisier than the old one but still ok. Really happy with my kit. Cost verses performance I think they are the go. Don't think I would be comfortable going much over 30kmh on cycleways anyway, pedestrians...

    DILLENGER 350w, 36V, 10ah FRONT HUB KIT

Pretty happy with my 250 w kit. Dillenger service is good and the product is great. Just replaced my front hub after a head on and all good, and only $180 delivered. Gotta be happy with that.

    Dillenger 250 watt

Hay Tats, what bike are you running your kit in? Seeing more and more ebikes on the cyclpaths, I think this summer there will be heaps. See there is a new big eike shop in osborne park. Cheers

    Dillenger 250 watt

Howdy peeps, the Dillenger kit was going strong till I had a minor disagreement with a motorcycle on the cycleway. Bent the front forks and bent my front wheel to resemble a banana. Luckily I was bruised but not broken so all good and as my old bike was getting really tired I looked for a...

    Dillenger Conversion Kit | 250w | 36v | 10Ah

I love my little 250 Dillenger. Brilliant commuter, makes the journey easier, more pleasant and you still get a nice gentle workout. When I don't think I am working hard enough I just back off the throttle and peddal, do that for a couple of hundred metres and then power up again. Cheers

    Dillenger 250 watt

Clicked over the big? 500km mark today. Still the kit performs as expected. Really happy with it and it certainly makes commuting that much nicer. Gave the spokes a tighten after about 400k's and some were a bit loose but generally ok. Charger appears to be getting a bit hotter than when new...

    New BMSBattery bottle style batteries

That battery looks exactly like the one supplied with the Dillenger 10 ah kit. They have the controller in the battery.

    Dillenger 250 watt

Thanks for the kind offer Karl, that sounds like a sweet machine, I will call in over the next couple of weeks, can you give me a "ball park" figure as to the cost of parts you used. Also, what brand and model of bike do you use? I have though kits are the best bet as I am no techno expert. Cheers

    Dillenger 250 watt

Clicked over 300kms. Bike still great, no problems. I am however getting itchy for more speed, I guess this happens to everyone, More power, more speed, more expense :( I will need to give the spokes a once over, I have bought a spoke tool, would I be able to give each spoke say an eighth or a...

Dillenger 1000 Watt, 48 Volt, 10Ah, Front wheel kit

Loving the information. This kit is looking better and better. I like my 250 w kit but I am thinking one of these 1000 w kits in the rear wheel would make a fun ride. Keep up the good work. Cheers

Dillenger 1000 Watt, 48 Volt, 10Ah, Front wheel kit

I think one of these kits with 2 batteries might be the go. One fitted in the triangle of the frame and the other out the back.

Dillenger 1000 Watt, 48 Volt, 10Ah, Front wheel kit

That is a pretty fast machine you have there :D I have to convert everything to Kilometers for it to make sense for me. 48 kmh is quick and averaging 29 kmh is good going, better tyres will make that even better. The range (18 km) is not so good but I guess a 10ah battery with a 1000w motor...
