    Wiiceiver status?

Hey bros, I got a couple of wiiceivers back when they first hit the scene on this forum. I, like many, had connection problems to the point of it being unsafe. I haven't been on the forum in a while, but last time I was on I saw that some people were trying to make a wiiceiver v2.0 with 2.4ghz...

Open Source Arduino transmitter/receiver for (V)ESC

Wiiceiver - very dangerous due to random periodic dropped signal (so ultimately not feasible), but awesome coding and control of the board especially with the cruise control and variable acceleration speeds when it isn't dropping signal 2.4ghz R/C remote like the gt2b - awesome reliability, but...

    Wireless Wii Nunchuck *TESTERS WANTED

Okay. Popping it off was easy enough.. now what? I'm guessing, take the heat shrink off the wiiceiver and pop the Atmel off the wiiceiver and put it on the Uno.. and upload the newest code? or….?

    Wireless Wii Nunchuck *TESTERS WANTED

Is there a link for instructions for 'popping the atmega' off of the uno/updating the wiiceiver with an uno? I have an uno but it seems super sketchy to just pop off the mega.. it's soldered on ya? Will it damage the board/processor by doing so? need to re-solder to put it back on (assuming no...

Is it possible to get higher (significantly higher) pressure tubes in these tyres? It says 30 psi on the tyre? I think some people have had them up to 40-60 psi?

Fibretech FlyPAN 2015 Dual Diag 12S

I have the FINAL PIECE of my setup coming from bruno early next week (the 7S BMS) then I'll have pretty much the same setup as yours.. dual 50mm 7S10AH ADS/APS with wiiceiever, only difference being onboard BMS. FINGERS CROSSED that I don't go for any superman flights.. might be contacting you...

Alien Drive Systems- ONDA board conversion..

some dudes were talking about adding some extra capacitors to the equation to deal with the spikes created by the long battery cables.. dunno how effective it is though, haven't played with it myself.

Got my wheels yesterday.. overall impressions.. niceeeee bud, great work A bit of feedback though: -Some of the holes where the bearings go are extremely tight.. probably because of the anodizing? I tried 3 different brands of bearings and none of them would 'fit' into a couple of the holes...

    GalWiii - software/hardware for controlling e-boards

Love the idea of all of this, especially the potential to link up to my samsung galaxy. Ideally I'd rather not mount the LCD screen to the board, but it would be awesome to have all of that info available on an ap.

Very true, the tire you're suggesting is a nice blend of all of those + the range thing clearly isn't a huge deal if any at all

Pretty interesting stuff really all of the factors that effect the efficiency. I do see how a high pressure, flat, wide tire could be quite efficient actually so long as, as you say, the sidewalls don't bulge and it maintains it's flat surface.. so a nice high pressure tube. Just curious, what...

I have to say, it is a bit of a mind blow to me to imagine that a wider, 'flat' tire with more 'off-road' style tread would get better mileage than a narrower, 'rounded' tire with 'road' style tread.. not saying it isn't true; by the looks of the wiki physics it is indeed true. Like beetbocks...

    Lipo Paranoia

I don't have a detached garage unfortunately to charge/store my board/batteries.. And I also plan to charge my board at work. I'm wondering if maybe it might be a good idea to put my lipo pack(s) in one of those 'fire proof' lipo charge bags, and then put that in the ABS cover under the board...

I see no practical benefit to having the wider tire, but I do see the benefit to the narrower tire (surface contact, range). And same thing applies to any extra tread beyond what is necessary for rough streets/minor bike trail/trail riding. Something like this for tire shape/tread pattern...

One other thing worth mentioning that I remember reading in the Urban Mover build thread is to incorporate a counter balance for the air stem of the tire tube otherwise it wobbles at speed.

Unless of course you plan to just carry the second set and swap batteries :) which a lot of people choose to do. EDIT: re-reading your post, I think thats what you plan to do

If you're going with 2x3s packs then you either have 3s 10Ah (in parallel) or 6s 5Ah (series).. but not 6s 10Ah. With 5Ah count on 4-7miles range as opposed to the 9-12 that I think you were hoping for with 10Ah

if you spend the majority of your time at 25-30km/h 1:2 or 1:3 gearing will require less energy to do that than 1:4, but there are a number of considerations.. your body weight, the terrain, how many hills, what grade of hills, what gearing matches the motors you're using in terms of kv

    Tallahau electric longboard build

Two comparable motors (ie. two 63mm, 3kw, 170kv) from different brands will have very similar power draw, and thus will get you very similar range. A single motor will draw less current and therefore extend your range, but you lose some hill climbing ability and braking ability when you go one...

    BoostedBoard wiring..

I did come across some flat config 10 and 12 awg wire a while ago but I can't for the life of me find the link again. It would eliminate the need to router into the board, or at least allow for a shallower channel. However, the more I think about it and look at the pictures of the Boosted, I...
