    It was probably clearing stock in the warehouse. Take note the battery was External and not the Inner tube. It might be the older M620 motor with an old Rotor and Gear. It would help if you wrote to them to clarify your doubts.

    You might find 500watts on this website https://flx.bike/ Their battery is very well integrated on the Hardtail, however I don't like their components spec. Maybe need to upgrade oneself.

    Not sure why need cable nd additional switches for? Just go into the LCD display . 1. Double click the i button keypad. 2 Select Display setting, 3. Go to Speed limit & change to the require speed of 25km. Save it. That is it.

    I don't understand why people ask for 500watts in the 1st place with the Ultra? Mine was with the silver & black cover and it still 1,000 watts. 2,000 miles on it and ride still smooth as silk. Maybe those think 1000watts too much should use M600.. which are more Hi-tech.

    My opinion, since your use for street commuters, Hard tail plus a nice back rack is much suitable. Tyre Schwalbe Super Moto-X wheel size 27.5' 2.8'. This tyre was build for Ebike on speed 50km/h or 31miles/hr. It suitable for Road and Tarmac purpose.

    Curious, I don't recalling there was a Max Ultra 500watts. Bafang Website shows MM G510.750/1000. both 750/1000watts are actually the same. If 500watts, I will prefer the new M600 which are much lighter in term of weight and stealth looking.

    You had been cheated by Luna. Especially for "Ludicrous" it must come with Steel Drive because of Peak 2500 watts. I remember reading somewhere from Karl article. You can refer to Karl Article on Max Ultra. Without steel your Nylon will melt like butter...

    If you able to open, than take a peep inside, otherwise talk to supplier cnebikes. It will be good that they request the steel drive for you. Understand Luna, Frey and others bike maker come with steel. Steel will be more durable, as for my case I take it as spare in case the nylon kaput.

    Yes Karl setup is not suitable for our standard Ultra. I didn't reprogram mine since the current setup is still suitable for me. Did your motor came with steel drive or nylon? Bafang sent me the replacement steel drive plus a new set of the display.
