    Conversion of a Bultaco Sherpa

Hi, so where are you in commissioning your electrical kit? You had to connect only the accessories essential to operation such as the accelerator, the engine and the battery, without going through the motorcycle's electrical harness.

Thanks for your help :bigthumb: . I think it's not worth bothering with this system. Better to take power directly from the battery and use a step-down dc/dc and handlebar switch. It's simpler and certainly more reliable. If you have any information regarding the engine temperature sensor, I...

    KT36/48ZWSR-ff01 Hidden options

It's likely that the options I'm looking for are coming from the display and not the controller. The LCD4 display does not indicate the ambient temperature, nor the motor temperature. It is also possible that the wire used to activate the front lighting is connected to the display. I think...

    KT36/48ZWSR-ff01 Hidden options

You read my mind that's exactly what I did last night but unfortunately none of the pending outputs on the controller seem to react to the lights on the lcd. Here is what I found, with or without turning on the light: N=38v G=0v S=0v H=4,5v X4=5v X5=5v X6-P2=5v X7-P3=5v X8=5v g=0v hv=0v sk=38v...

Thank you for your reply. Yes I already know all that but I would have liked to know if this controller can give 36v controllable from the LCD display. I use this function on another bike but there is a power wire coming directly from the LCD display. This is not the case and for the moment I...

    KT36/48ZWSR-ff01 Hidden options

Hello, I have just bought a KT36 controller and I have seen that the LCD4 display offers the lighting of the front lights but the controller is not wired for this. Do you know if one of the free terminals of the motherboard allows you to obtain 36v when you press the light with the LCD. Do you...

That's not the power outage time but the hours during which they can occur. Power cuts will never exceed 2 hours. This is called load shedding we will be notified in advance if this is to happen. Power cuts only depend on the overconsumption of households and the severity of winter. So all of...

How to know the battery's charge level

Yes it's a good strategy, if you charge 100% it's to use it immediately. If you need to store the battery it can be at 80%. Also avoid charging the battery when it is very cold. For a battery to last a long time, it should always be at its nominal voltage.

" one outstanding issue is they sent me a 6wire sensor plug which I assumed was just a generic plug and have only wired in 5 (neg to pos) leaving the most positive sensor wire off." How to know the battery's charge level

The actual measurement of Wh can be done with a Wattmeter, You can also use a receiver such as a bulb whose power you know and you measured the time it takes to go from 100% to 0%. If it takes 1 hour to go from 100% to 0% with a 48V and 100W bulb, this means that the battery has delivered 100wh...

    bluetooth BMS?

The reset is the first thing I tried at the time and it does not change the problem, unfortunately. This bms has been defective since 2019 and I am looking into the problem only today. I noticed that when disconnecting then reconnecting all balance wires, cells 1 to 15 display 3.6v. It's...

    bluetooth BMS?

No connection problem I usually use these bms. On the other hand, your remark can give a lead in troubleshooting. There may be a problem with the GND somewhere on the circuit. I sniffed the serial port with a little software to see the info that circulates between the bms and the computer...

Has anyone managed to troubleshoot an Ant bms that won't start ? I have a last generation 8 to 20s model which lights up with a 3.7v battery. The guy who mounted it on his motorcycle, connected the +/- of his 72v battery instead of 3.7v. I managed to turn it on once by connecting a 3.7v...

    bluetooth BMS?

The bms doesn't really balance, it just unloads overcharged cells. Triggering balancing while you're charging only slows down the charge and heats up the resistors unnecessarily. On the other hand, triggering the balancing function at a low voltage when the battery is not charging is surely a...
