TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

Not sure what kind of hills are you guys riding but in higher assist levels on 8% incline it almost rides itself in assist level 0.7 (level 7 or similar ) like a motorcycle giving out 700-800W.

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

Overheating is obviously your choice. If you are not pushing it above 500w on constant runs should be fine. We can only conclude that you are pushing it to 600-800w on long uphills and than complain about overheating. This is not Bosch or Yamaha, you can get those if you like, that is if you are...

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

finally did the torque sensor calibration. Looks like range of ADC values is narrow. Not sure what to think. It looks to me like there is less torque on lower RPM but delivery is smoother. I find myself riding in higher assistance levels than before calibration.

New TSDZ2 Open Source firmware with Bluetooth interface

Didn't you tell me when I was buying esp32 controller from you that you plan to upgrade to 1.0? I'm pretty sure because I asked.

New TSDZ2 Open Source firmware with Bluetooth interface

Any progress on supporting tsdz2 firmware v1.0.0?

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

I guess that depends on the hills. It's mostly flat and than there are several 8% inclines. Unleass you are riding in top assist levels all the time.

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

I almost wish there is a simple analog indicator for assist levels and buttons the rest goes to mobile app or something. Sw102 is useless in bright sunshine especially with polarized sunglasses. I have to tilt my head 45 degrees while riding to try to figure out what's the current assist level...

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

New controller arrived after almost 4 months. In the mean time I was riding dahon folding 20" regular bike. After several hours of replacing old controller, routing wires, soldering and flashing finally went for a test ride. My god how good this bike rides I totally forgot after months on...

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

Sw102 size and stealthiness is great, problem is it's hardly visible under bright sunlight. That and the fact that there is no Android app for it. I've researched possibility to write android app in golang but bluetooth support looks questionable.

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

Is this with sw102? Which submenues are freezing? My controller arrived finally after 4 months. Which version of firmware is most stable with sw102?

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

Is there any source for the spare controller in Germany that's not shipped from China?

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

I just ordered another motor from pswpower EU warehouse because controller that I ordered in February still didn't arrive. Now I'm not sure if the motor I'm going to get is with old or new controller.

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

Hope major bugs like sw102 locking up are cleared before we start seeing less support for this from casainhos side. I'm unable to test as my controller is still on the way.

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

Still waiting on the new controller to arrive since I fried it with faulty firmware almost 3 months ago. I had to buy another bike, folding one to use this good weather. I'm closely watching this thread so I can figure out which firmware versions are safe for tsdz2+sw102 but I'm still puzzled...

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

Yes, that's what I meant, but I'm not sure if it is possible to detect backward pedaling with PAS. Anyway with IGH it would be quite benefitial.

Would it be possible to add similar functionalities to freewheel bikes. When you rotate pedals backwards to immediately stop the motor. This could help with overrun and gear changing, to prevent damage to the bluewheel when shifting.

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

That's not completely true. I've fried my controller 7 days ago with the 0.55 firmware. Mentioned that few pages back.

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

Having had the similar sympthoms where my whole drive turned off several times when I start pedaling, and after 4-5 attempts I had a short on my controller power pins resulting in huge spark and melted battery terminals, I would advise you to stop using current firmware and downgrade until we...

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

Wow, 140 celsius? Definitely not normal. Are you sure your temperature sensor is not faulty? What do you mean by whole system shuts off? This is what happened to me and after times my controller was fried. Could it be something about faulty firmware that fried my controller?

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

One of the wires coming from controller to the display has original battery voltage, in my case 48v. I've got dc-dc step down voltage converter with usb that I'm planning on wiring to that wire to be able to charge various things while on the move, such as phone. Any ideas what kind of current...

    Hardware temperature control tsdz2

Any kind of heat dissipation improvement is good. It's not like I'm going to push the motor to the limit all the time, it's used for commuting after all.

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

Tested restistance between all 3 motor terminals, it's 0.8ohm between each of the 3. When testing for continuity I'm getting audio signal and 0.001. Resistance between controller power terminals when motor is disconnected is 0.5ohm. When testing for continuity I'm getting audio signal and...

    Hardware temperature control tsdz2

You can see the exact place where it's used in the picture. Didn't want to put much more before knowing how easy it is to remove. I think pad is 5mm thick, I have posted the link on the page 2 of this thread.

    Hardware temperature control tsdz2

These thermal pads I got from Ali are like clay, easy to shape and remove when necessary. At the moment i have a plastic covering it in order to avoid motor casing sticking too much, but I plan adding copper sheet over it.
