TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

I just wanted to add that I was doing some debugging to see if I could find out if the board is actually powered by the ST Link. So I hooked up an UART dongle to read out the main connector, the 9 pin version. Immediately after plugging in the ST Link dongle the UART started to write data to...

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

I took the motor controller board out today. It did come out easily. I hooked up with the short Dupont wires (which still doesn't make sense, as the wire from the board up to connector is ~30cm long) and it did not connect. I tried 3 different type of STLink V2 dongles. I removed some of the...

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

I'm using the speedsensor connector with the Dupont wires (4cm long) and heat shrink tubes. And you are right that might be the issue, but they really snuck in tight. So I'm assuming (very bad I know) they work. If I connect the GND, 5V and SWIM and boot the bike via the VLCD5 display then my ST...

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

Oooh damn, I was so afraid for that answer! I think I'm going to leave the VLCD5 display on for the moment, and start enjoying my bike for a short while. Thanks for all of your answers!

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

Hi All, I just wanted to share my updates on trying to program the firmware of the TSDZ2. I've now tried 3 types of dongles. 2 Chinese clones and one official (Chinese clone) of the ST Link V2. I've also used 3 types of laptops with and without the power connected. 2 laptops running windows...

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

Hi ALl, And thank you for your replies. @mctubster: I actually did look into your video before :thumb: , I came across it while I was searching Youtube for TSDZ2. It all seams so easy.... :( But yes, same wiring. I tried with and without the 'reset'. @ImpuslePurchase: Yes I've read through...

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

Hi all, I'm having trouble connection the ST Link V2 to the TSDZ2 through the speedsensors plug, and I would like to know what the best trouble shooting tips are. My setup: TSDZ2 with the stock firmware and with the stock VLCD5 display ( I have to 850C display programmed (with the Flexible...

Bafang 850C color LCD, currently working for TSDZ2 motor -- Flexible OpenSource firmware

Hi Casainho, Thank you for your fast replay. With your enthusiastic talk about the software I really can't wait to jump on the bike,... But on your comment: I actually am more confused then before   . The TSDZ2 gets power from the battery, so AUX _BAT, it then passes this...

Bafang 850C color LCD, currently working for TSDZ2 motor -- Flexible OpenSource firmware

Then I think I need a new display...damn... I think it might blew on me when connecting the main cable at the back to an extension cable. The colouring of these wires is everything but what you expect, black isn't ground, red isn't power.... so it might be that at one point I switched the...

Bafang 850C color LCD, currently working for TSDZ2 motor -- Flexible OpenSource firmware

Hi Casainho, Thank you for your fast reply. The chip is a GD32F103. I've tried the "850C_v0.4.1.bin" with the same result a white screen after flashing and a power cycle. Here is an image of the chip status form the STM32-ST-LINK Utility: The "Bafang_LCD_850C_firmware-v0.4.0.bin" shows the...

Bafang 850C color LCD, currently working for TSDZ2 motor -- Flexible OpenSource firmware

Hi Guys, I'm trying to get a 850c screen to run with the "OpenSource-EBike-firmware/Color_LCD" firmware. Flashing the 850c wasn't a problem, I opened the screen and soldered an upload/flash cable to the pins and closed the case again. The thing is I wasn't sure which file to use. Either the...
