    Ferrofluid/Statorade maintenance or not??

I've been using it for 2 or 3 years, yes you have to inject another 10 ml or so every year or so. I suppose it depends on how often you use your bike. I use mine almost everyday 10 miles per day. I think eventually it dries up/spreads around in the motor after a year or two.

    LTC6811 Implementation Thread

Look at Altium Circuit Studio, a slightly less fancy version than Designer, but almost the same user interface. It does everything you need, autorouting,3D, same as Designer, it probably uses the same underlying engine. You don't need a $10K layout/schematic system, that is for laying out...

Fuse-wire for individual cells, DIY Tesla style

The wire looks fragile. I don't know if it would ever make it on a home-grown bike. He's doing packs that stay indoors and dont move or bounce or shake.

Thanks a lot crystalyte! blown motor-> blown controller

After using this crystalyte HS motor for a couple of years, my 5 year old Kelly controller blew it's FET's. I bought an adaptto which worked ok for 4 days then, extreme vibrations at 10mph and above. It turns out one of the phase wires was pulled so tight along the inside circular motor frame...

    Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

Yeah, I just found the exact problem. Turns out they pulled the phase wires down so tight with zip ties to go out the axel one rubbed on the edge of the motor inside circular frame. it eventually (2 year old motor) rubbed and shorted to the metal of the motor. I can see the vaporized deposits...

    Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

Update On Vibration Problem with Adaptto: After working with Oleg, it was not an Adaptto problem, but a burned/shorted? phase wire inside my motor. It was odd because it started severe vibration 4 days after I installed my new adaptto, so I assumed it was the controller. I am really happy with...
