Don't know but can measure them later on. They are from a Passat GTE. Basically like a generic shoe box :)

Wow! It's been a while since I last posted. Life gets in the way etc etc..... I'll try to get the thread back on track. The frame came back from fabrication and turned out great. If I had taken some measurements I could have made some more room for battery and engine but now it is what it is...

I really love you're using the bike as intended. Great work!

Super cool! This could make me travel down south and watch you race :) I've done Ränneslätt four or five times and it is NOT my favourite, feels like boulders everywhere. Except for the area surrounding the start/finish.

Haha, I like the climate. Love the snow in winter (would like more here in the middle/south) and the warm, in my mind, summers. In the north I actually heard they got some more snow yesterday. Lucky bastards. Can't stand the heat in the south of Europe :) Food is basically a case of tradition...

For once it seems swedish rules are better (meaning more laid back) :) We can use vehicles in three main types of registration. Homologated by maker (most cars, bikes). "Modified vehicles". You take a homologated vehicles and modify it not to much but enough from original state. Change of...

Nothing major here unfortunately. Or one minor that has happened and one pretty big that is happening. Ordered and got delivery of a 15t 520 front sprocket from MightE. Really expensive unfortunately so hope it will work well. Ihave not even tried it on the motor yet. This is how the bike...

Small update and some questions Everything but the power supply (cleared customs on the 13th) is in place on the bench. Got the BMS (ANT BMS 24S) from a friend yesterday. Started labeling connectors on the controler as a way of getting to know what I'm working with. Found that some...

"The fardriver controllers have been a nightmare for us. We have very very particular requirements for our race bikes and the fardriver has very lackluster response at its current firmware state. We are working with the manufacturer to resolve this hopefully firmware issue but so far to no...

Summary for me and everyone else who might be looking for sprockets. Jordan325ic (on the forum) - PM on forum. Made some sprockets but has none left as of now. Might make more later. MightE.me - Looked at their site. Seem to be the only one to have a 520. Only 13t unfortunately...

    First build - "KTM SXE"

Yeah, I found lots of sprockets on their site for 520 in 16/20 but in 14/17 there are only 428. I am in contact with them to see if they can find anything. Electrobraap has 13t but I don't know if it is 420/428/520 yet. Could be the same as mighte.me is offering. In that case it's a 520. 13t...

Yup. The shaft is 14mm inner / 17mm outer and a 4mm spline (is that the rigt word?). Or at least that is what a drawing said in that thread. Will verify that on my own motor asap. The JT sprockets I've found so far are all larger but the search continues :)

    First build - "KTM SXE"

I generally try to keep away from to specialized parts. Stock is the way to go (or nicely fabricated) That being said, I'll keep that idea in the back of my head for future use (didn't get any sprockets at all with the motor unfortunately :( ) I have asked the guy in the "v3 thread"...

This is really interesting. Where there any stock sprockets (brand?) or did they custom make them?

    First build - "KTM SXE"

I had to take it apart yesterday to see what the inside looks like. Could be possible. Can't really figure out what the thread outside of the motor axle is for (besides perhaps a chain guard like you say). I'll look into that. Could be done with an angle grinder in worst case. I'd first like to...

    First build - "KTM SXE"

I'm glad you find it interesting. Don't expect a fast build speed though. I also try to run a family with two busy kids while keeping the wife happy and not letting the house deteriorate to much :) Made some calculations and found that it will be hard to get the speeds I want  With...

    First build - "KTM SXE"

Yeah. Finally :) There has been som ski trips, Corona sickness and some other stuff. Hopefully I'll get to spend some more time now. Ordered the Domino now! Being able to detect throttle fault feels like a good idea. We implemented something similar on the machines at work when we figured out...

This illustrates, in an extremely proffesional way, my initial idea of mounting the motor. :) My idea is that the reduction must run in oil but it shouldn't matter if I rotate it as long as I have a proper oil level. Any thoughts?

    First build - "KTM SXE"

Hi all. Been reading for a little while and planning (fantazising) a build for a lot longer. Sorry for what will be a long opening post :) Some background... I've been riding bikes with knobbly tires and supermoto slicks for over 20 years so I have that part of a build pretty clear. The...

    Yamaha FZR-8000 Genesis

Great to hear about new, better, pads :) Sorry to see the crash :( Hope you're ok? I might be a bit slow here :) Do you have a type 2 connector connected all the time (hardwired) to the bike that you plug in when charging at a public charging station? Do you have a "charge box" a home that has...

    Yamaha FZR-8000 Genesis

Awesome work Anders. Great that you got the bike through SFRO. As I understand it there's SFRO1 and 2 before the final inspection?! There's a pic of a type 2 connector inside the right fairing from Jan 3. I don't get it? :) Can you explain what it does?

    Electric Roadster

Kind of hard to quote this in a comprehensivfe way :) It sounds, like I assumed, that you have thought about almsot everything. Kind of glad I couldn't help, haha. Static balancing wheels could be done at home, very simple. Basically a stand with an axle and some bearings. It shows where the...

    Electric Roadster

Just finished rading the entire thread. Amazing job! The design of the bike is superb. The wheel motor really gives you a whole new way of designing a bike. Love it! Sorry to hear about the crash. Have you removed some parts of the original frame then that could be a reason for wobble. Have you...

    Yamaha YZ250F

Thanks. I'll do that for sure. I've been so close in buying both donor bikes and motors many times but I chicken out every time :) Seeing not oen but two bikes in the flesh will, hopefully, push me over the edge. I've seen both car builders ans sound builders using fleece blankets to create...

    KTM 200 exc goes electric

Wow! Finished the entire thread now. Sad to hear about your crash. I have ridden enduro for some 20 years but have never has a crash that resulted in face injury (apart from some cuts from branches etc). Glad to hear the bike works so good and you keep riding it so much :) Are you riding the...
