    Overvolting BBS02

I have now gotten a signal from the new controller, battery and motor. The weird thing is the motor is not turning though. I am not sure if this is because there is no PAS connected from the motor. Or why this is. What do you guys think? What is my main mistake here? The videos shows when the...

I have tried hooking it up to my KT controller today but it did not work with only the phase wires, throttle and battery. When I checked my Sine wave controller it says "only suitable for motors with Hall sensors" so I guess I have to hook up those cables as well to make it work? I thought sine...

Do you have a picture of how this looks? Is that an external controller you installed or how does it work? How do I access open source firmware? A picture, or even better a video, would be much appreciated.

Interesting stuff. How does it work?

    Overvolting BBS02

Yeah, I want to get a bbshd on another bike in the future. But this one is going to be an experiment with the bbs02. Right now I don't have money for the bbshd and I have this one bbs02 at home. I think it will be interesting. I am also thiking about upgrading the chainrings as you talk about...

    Overvolting BBS02

hmm interesting. Do you guys think it is possible to up it to 52olt as well? So 52v*33amp Remember Chalo writing something about volts not giving more heat so might not be a problem(?) But someone else also wrote that the capacitators might get fried?

    Overvolting BBS02

Yeah mine is bigger. So I will have to have that one on the outside. It is a KT controller of 30amp. So I want to push more watts into the motor basically. Making it stronger. Seems like a fun project since I only have a 500 watt controller in this BBs-motor. So plan to switch it up.

    Overvolting BBS02

I am thinking about inserting the cables where the old cables, from the old controller, went out of the controller kind of. But you mean a totally new rectangle-hole correct? Not where the old wires went out?

It worked to only connect the phase wires? Or did you only get partial function with this configuration?

    Grinding noise in hub motor

Thank you for the very good answer. I am going to put the thread on hold for a while. Because I have to make ready another bike that I use more frequently for the beginning season. I will come back to this thread when I get the time for it. Thanks again.

Kind of like he does in the grin video about the hall sensors, correct? Just put in the ss41s: Yeah, that is my thinking too. How the heck do I insert the new wires there for the halls.. :)

    Grinding noise in hub motor

I want to give it a try. Now, I dont quite understand how to go about it though. Should I solder on new wires on the pristine spots to add extra cables there? Or do I go about doing it like when changing damaged hall sensors, just soldering on the ss41s into the spots there on the upside of...

    Grinding noise in hub motor

No not really quiet no. But seems to be nothing wrong with the function except for the grinding noise, which is irritating when riding the bike I have to say.

    Grinding noise in hub motor

It had a previous owner. Yeah my camera in the phone is a bit bad. Here is another one. Hopefully a bit easier to see what is going on. My phone needs changing I know it is bad. But hopefully this one is a bit clearer: https://www.veed.io/view/ec079d1e-a0a8-4ca7-9a61-e50980ae71b8?panel=share

    Grinding noise in hub motor

So here are two videos below of the motor’s insides. First one is a bit general and shows what I have found inside. Second one is a close up of the hall sensor/chip. To me it looks like this motor do not even have hall sensors there(?). So if someone could explain how this could be the case...

    Overvolting BBS02

Did you cut the hole in the spot where the original cables comes out? If there became some extra space there, because of the hole, how did you waterproof it? Use some silicone or something? Do you have a pic of the whole thing? Would be interesting to see how you did it. The way I am probably...

    Grinding noise in hub motor

I have a motor that is making a grinding weird noise when driven. I got input from Endless sphere that this could be because of some non working hall sensors inside. But it is still a mystery what the problem might be. I do have a controller that works without hall sensors as well. But anyway I...

M5 Display - setting magnets and PAS sensitivity

The new PAS sensor has arrived and it seems to be working on the bike. Any idea why this did work but not the old type? Must have been something wrong with the actual PAS sensor? Or are KT-pas sensors overall more compatible with other systems which is why it worked ?

    Overvolting BBS02

So basically I want to do what the guy in this video does: Only I want to up it to max current of 30a. And I also want to do it to the bbs02b. I guess this could be done. But in the video I cannot quite see how he has dragged the new cables. I mean, the cables to the new controller should be...

    Overvolting BBS02

Yes. I meant I am going for a KT controller for the BBS02. Externally. Haven't quite figured out how to get the cables out but I think through the same hole as the standard controller. Which probably means I wil lhave to keep the old controller in its place(?9 since it is providingf cover and is...
