So I have custom built Samsung 40t 20s 6p Custom made battery 1,200 USD with BT BMS. It fully charges to 84v if needed. I was testing a different controller and it was hooked to the ceiling with a strap and I gave it a little throttle and it jumped into the bench. And now the battery is resting at 81.46volts and reading the BMS in print says 81.46v but at the top of the screen reads 61% the dial arrow that shows charge yes the big one on top and the cells individually read correct at 4.07 or so which is correct ???

So here's some pics and there's the Bluetooth module and it's plugged in hello the two 10s white plug and black plug.
Can I reset this maybe by unplugging the Bluetooth module or disconnecting the two 10s balance wires which should be awful difficult with all the glue on it.
Tomorrow's a new day.

Any obvious physical damage? If it has a Bluetooth module can you reset it remotely? Otherwise pull the balance plugs and re plug them?

If it has damaged the bms you might need to replace it

No obvious physical damage I just reprogram some of the parameters of the Bluetooth BMS. But after doing so as you can see I'm digging deeper into the battery.

On the BMS side I put all the foam away and I found a group of six Samsung 40t cells that he replaced it looks like a lot of copper and soldering on the negative side he replaced a 6p group and it looks like this pack is nothing but hot glued together.
20s 6p Samsung 40t should make it at 24 ah battery I've only ever gotten 19 ah and now after 2:00 and 1/2 years I get 16 ah. I had to send this battery back because it only charged to 81 volts yes I had three different chargers this is before I got the Bluetooth BMS when I send it back to Matt at bicycle motor works he put in a group of 6p and I still never got more than 19 ah brand new yes I talked to him but he stopped taking my messages the Bluetooth BMS seems like an off-brand but it works. It could be a xiaoxiang BMS ? I want to contact him now that I have a part he won't take my messages probably but I at least post his battery bill on their website or maybe threaten.
Anyway I'm not happy with my $1,200 battery.

Yes the cells replaced them with are naked. Not only naked but he soldered on the negative end. That's the worst end have to heat up. ???

All my cells have rap on them as far as can see the Samsung 40t rap but the six cells they're supposed to be Samsung 40p don't have a wrap on it. And as a glued only together battery I don't really like that fact.
I would separate each parallel group with a plastic shield or fiberboard shield or something so if it does get warm and melts the hot glue they don't touch between the different parallel groups.
What is my biggest complaint to him ?

This hot glue tech is apparently not so great when it comes to servicing anything. No wonder the maker of the battery is not interested in touching it again. But i don't think it's a problem with cells being soldered, after all you have measured the voltage and it's correct/equal on every battery section. Not sure what screen are you talking about but maybe it's just the problem with the controller/screen part? Verify if all balance connections are OK.

BTW i hope there is some extra insulation between different sections in series, if not then better don't try to take the battery apart. Big risk of a short and fire when the wrap comes off together with the glue.

My suggestion: if the battery charges and powers your bike then use it until it no longer works. Then get at new battery.

Oh the screen meaning my phone screen being used for the BT app for battery display for battery info.
My main complaint is that it should be a 24 ah pack but delivers only 19ah new and 16ah now. Where's the other ah's I paid for. At least it's well balanced.
