Hey Guys,
I'm back at it again with another build, but going with something a little different this time. I have bought a Gravity M10 scooter which I will convert: https://www.gravity-scooters.com/en/downhill/26-m10-trail-8436576390610.html.
I plan to lace a hub motor into the rear wheel (20"), with an 18s 20Ah pack, and am looking to get around 3kW ideally with a top speed of around 30mph.
I am looking for advice on motor and controller selection, as there are a few constraints
Motor: The main constraint is the 100mm rear dropouts on the scooter which makes sourcing a high power motor difficult. At the moment I am looking at this one: https://eunorau-ebike.com/collectio...-brushless-non-gear-hub-motor-for-front-wheel, but I am not sure how long this will last running at a much higher voltage and power than designed. I am open to trying some modifications to increase its power capacity, but have not dipped my toe into this before. But before I buy that, does anybody know of any higher power hub motors that fit into 100mm dropouts?
The controller should be easier, so if you have any suggestions for a reliable 72V 3kW controller to go with it, then that would be great!
Thanks in advance
