My understanding is that QS make their own motors and the Sabvoton version controller.
They also stock and sell other makes.
I have been using them direct for about 5 years and to date have never had any problems with their stuff.
I deal direct with them, not via any outlets and have found that most questions regarding setup I have had, is answered normally in a couple of days.
My last motor QS273, I had customised by them and it is perfect.
My QS205 from them I have had for 4 years and has about 12000km on it. (I have had to change the axle bearings twice), wiring and coils are like new (For the last 1000km I run statorade and hub sinks) and this is all powered by a Kelly controller.
I don't know if any of this helps, but for me QS has always been good.
