Tesla 5.3kwh module with SimpBMS
REV A module board, says "PCBA, BMB, WIRE-CLIP"
When simpBMS put the pack in balance mode, the lowest two cells begin to jump up and down.
After letting it balance the cell for ~10 minutes, cell 11 (the lowest) went from 3.05 to 3.01 indicating the balancer is draining the cell group. see video.
I am currently charging the pack and balancing cells before trying again. Maybe it is too far out of balance for the module bms to bring it back.
Has anyone seen this behavior with the Tesla module BMSs? I have one other one that is doing the same.
How do the Tesla BMSs work normally?
edit: watch cells 10 and 11. they are steady voltages when balancing is turned off
