It is working again now but for several days I have not been able to open any threads. I was able to post this topic but I could not open it.

Just a heads up to admins

Oh no, i didn't get an alarm or any other smoke signals about this. Thanks for saying something.
Sorry for the bug! the disk on the server turned out to be full. We had a much larger image upload growth rate than expected.

We now have a +30gb larger disk which should be good to store the next year's worth of image uploads. Sometime early next year i will deploy a disk usage monitoring system so that i at least get a warning from the site.

I also used that link but assumed that it wouldnt be received so I posted here. Thanks neptronix for fixing it! It wasnt allowing me to open threads on mobile or desktop so I thought it might be a sitewide issue. Glad it is back at 100%!

Eek, yeah, in phpbb the only option to allow you to notify the admin is via email as far as i know. I don't want to hand out an email address i read on such a large site because i know pleas for help will get mixed in with tons of junk.

We can do a lot better than that; i will see if i can design something that allows logged in users who cannot view the site currently to go to a status page and tell us that stuff's broke..

..in addition to the monitor system i plan to design a v2.0 over the winter.
..should cover all cases!

The site is not down. Did not want to start a new thread for this.

Google Search is not working for me. Anyone else having this problem or is it my browser?

I'm using a Brave browser. This just started this morning. When trying to use Google search it returns:
Google Search
JavaScript must be enabled and Google whitelisted in order to view the Custom Google Search Results
My JavaScript setting has not changed and checked to make sure. Google wants me to whitelist them in my settings. I quit using Google over all the tracking and interfering with my search's. I could conform, just don't want to. Will use other search engines with the site: tag.

Thanks for your time.

Ah, sorry you gotta go 'shields down' in the brave browser! ( i use it too )
PHPBB's search engine is total garbage tho

I think you will be pleased with the on-server search in Xenforo. In my tests, i found out it works well.
Hopefully it works well enough to not tack on a plugin to make google do the job!

Sorta confused over it all. It has been working until I posted here about it not.
My PC does not even have java installed. Debated on installing it but no. Wonder why it worked for over 3yrs then quit.
Does not matter I will wait on the new site. Don't want to appease google. I use Edge also and search with bing. So not using google is not an issue. The site tag in duckduckgo works fine.

It actually works with brave here on linux with shields up.
You may have something else interfering with it.

Can use google search engine in other sites and google search engine page and it works ok.

Only have issues using here in ES. Go figure!
