Re: Tesla MIC (made in China) Model 3 will be LFP!
Wow, this is interesting. It must have significantly less range or weigh quite a bit more. However, in theory it will last an astronomical amount of time. Completely different BMS voltage setup. Pretty interesting! I wouldn't have guessed but considering the Cobalt shortages it makes perfect sense.

Re: Lyft redesigns NYC CitiBike ebike as a single-speed
With enough power, gears really cease to be necessary. I've been riding single speed with pedal assist for 3 years and there have been maybe 2 times that I wanted for gears, and that was while not using assist (group rides). I've never not made it up a hill even when touring, or melted a motor. It m...

Re: Cured my wife's anxiety and my depression with nutritional supplements.
These days I try to mix in carbs in the form of berries and even potatoes sometimes but I always feel way better without them. Wish it weren't true because pizza is awesome, but it's not worth my life. Same. I've gradually worked up to handling ~150g of carbs in a meal with zero ill effect. 7 years...

I'm not sure why you would allow such a toxic personality, if he cared he'd just create another profile anyhow.

(nodding furiously) Yeah, meeting carrie brown in person ( you saw the video above right? ) is who convinced me that i wasn't totally insane when it came to liver eating. She responds to methylated B vitamins too, but i do not, so i've got a bigger issue than she does. I actually heard her on the k...

Re: fast charging through phaserunner
This requires some pretty unique backbends in the software to accomplish and I'm not aware that this exists in the current phaserunner / ASI code, it would be really sweet though!

Re: Electric Scooter Conversion - Polish WFM Osa M52
Looks like an awesome contender. In the states, many people just register the bikes as their original vehicle class. I'm not sure if that's a viable option in Poland/EU. 7.2kWh should definitely get you to 100km, you might even need less if lower speed around town. There are some decent Chinese char...

[completely biased] I think my bike would be a good fit for you, check out the Maxwell Stoic, 1200 bucks, ready to go, I basically add air and plug it in and do very minimal maintenance, doesn't attract thieves, lightweight et all. Let me know if that's what you had in mind or not. www.maxwellmotorb...

I thought I would add my YouTube videos here too, I made a bunch back when I did the Colorado trip, and I really liked it. Is stuff like this better than the podcast? I would like to do a bit of both.

Re: Lambretta University Project
By comparison electric motors have a huge efficiency range compared to a gasoline engine, and the losses due to to all the extra rotating bullshit further skews the need of a transmission. hence why not commercial EVS have transmissions. The torque of even a small electric motor can destroy the dogs...

Re: Lambretta University Project
An e-lambretta would be dope. I imagine you're interested in the non-hub motor setup because the whole swingarm is essentially the motor/gearbox assembly. I think there are some swingarm conversion kits out there that would allow you to drop all the deadweight of the gearbox. That being said keeping...

Wow Nep I see a lot of parallels to your dietary journey and mine. I just started eating liver myself for the same reason. I've also been Keto for a long time. I've been supplementing with Methylated B vitamins and methylfolate and it gave me my life back. Also started focusing on choline due to the...

I was thinking, as an interim solution would it be possible to get the raw BT-> UART feed through a display with an integrated Bluetooth radio, like the eggrider?

Re: Sevcon size4 ME1616 motor not rotating make only noice
I don't have much experience with programming sevcons but a few things to look into: -rotary encoder calibration -any differences between the water cooled version, simpler, dumber controllers wouldn't care, but a few uH either direction and it can make a difference - Are all the connections identica...

We have data on 10s of thousands of miles on these style clutches, and I haven't seen one fail yet due to anything but gross overpowering of the motor itself.
