There is a key difference between "burst" rate and Production rate.
Also everyone knows Musk is a liar and a charlatan, nothing he says is true.
Yes the cars never went 0-60 as fast as he said. The price is always wrong. Everyone hates him really...

Re: Sensorless at standstill, development updates and status

Great work Lebowski.

This is very exciting but becomes less exciting when I read you don't want to make IC's.... SO someone like me can't play with it??
I have a new build coming on line VERY soon....

I can send you a Zero motor for Christmas if you like.

Re: Tesla Model 3

So what is happening at Freemont these days ? Again they claim to have demonstrated ability to produce 1000/day M3 units, but actual consistent "run rate"/average output appears to be stuck at <4500/week..and has been for the last few months. Obviously they still have a few "bottlenecks" in either ...

. China is a world leader in solar and it won't be long until they shut down all coal power plants. If you look at the total number of coal power plants and compare it to the total amount of energy they are using and then look at solar you will see a lot more energy is coming from solar. You are li...

Re: Tesla Model 3

Subsidize the cars and subsidize the building of charging stations around these rural coal burning areas so that an electric car has a path through the boonies and into more interesting places. Oh, the environmentalists will still hate it, but it makes absolute sense from a business perspective. Mo...

Lots of Tesla 3 teardowns now seem to show that the motor, battery and electronics are good but the car itself is a near disaster. Too many parts, too many different types of fastener, not made to be manufactured or serviced, the list goes on and on. Clearly they rushed and messed this up. Too bad,...

VERY FIRST Comment on the video! bwhaskell 2 months ago Having ridden the MXR for an entire day, swapping on an off between it and my KX450, i have to say i disagree with most of your assessment. Yes, the Alta weighs a bit more than a 450. However, since the electric motor has so little inertia (the...

That guy rides way, way better than either of you, arlo or macribs. The overheating isn't an opinion or bad guess on weight distribution it's a unavoidable consequence of someone riding the bike hard. Multiple people (all fast) have ridden the bike and had the same issue. The owner brings it out ev...

Hard to tell if the video you posted is the real deal or if this was a review made by a rider that has not yet gotten used to the power delivery of the MXR. If you see the comments below there are two that kind of says he is all wrong about most of it, including the overheating. And the weight dist...

Re: Alta Motors Redshift

The tires, brake pads, and chains/sprockets are general purpose items, so they will remain available from a third-party seller. I am curious about what parts are "Alta-specific", and might wear out. Buy a spare of X, Y, and Z...if you own an Alta. They appear to be pretty wonderful. Just the chain ...

Re: Tesla Model 3

It's not hidden costs it's options that cost money and at this point they dont sell cars without those options. I don't like that. But if it's a move that keeps Tesla alive while they work to bring out the $35000 car then it's the only option. Some people don't understand that. But at the same Time ...

Banned from racing with ICE bikes etc. Class rules in mx have always prohibited electric from running with ICE bikes, although you could run it in open class if you can find one. Also, with a intermediate or expert rider the battery can only do a few laps of riding before overheating and losing pow...
