Re: Wayne’s Dengfu Carbon Fibre FS 27.5” with Bafang M600 (throttle also)
In terms of smoothness, I would think that's a function of firmware as opposed to controller. Have you considered ordering the BESST tool from Luna to experiment with various firmware? https://lunacycle.com/bafang-besst-service-tool/ I decided to pick one up as the Luna X1 tuning is garbage (practic...

complete motor from Luna. They have them in stock and $650.00 and be done with it. Ok, sorrry but this made me.   Be advised you may also need to pony up another $100 for the BESST tool from Luna (unless you already have it) to rid yourself of their M600 "tuning" (IME wort...

Re: Dengfu E06, Wafa or Haibike?
Battery life on Ultra with stock controller is disappointing. The aftermarket innotrace controller improves range by 20% or more IME and many other benefits. Since you are in North America I would consider Watt Wagon's upcoming FS carbon bike: https://electricbikereview.com/forums/threads/fs-watt-wa...

Same version (TK419). Any additional suffix just signifies various options none of which are useful for ebike use. I purchased mine on Amazon with express shipping as I wanted it fast. Arrived in less than a week. More details here: https://electricbikereview.com/forums/threads/anti-theft-gps.826/po...

Re: My Bafang Ultra Mountain Bike! Frey AM1000
This GPS Tracker is working great in my Frey CC secured in the downtube near the internal routing holes and hardwired to internal battery. I tapped into the charging port which has a fuse. Frey might consider offering it as a pre-installed option (although users would need to remove it to install th...

Re: My Bafang Ultra Mountain Bike! Frey AM1000
I am not sure I understand but why does it matter for innotrace controller? Does it not have a cap?
Also, my CC display with innotrace controller reads ~1v less than measured directly by my voltmeter. Could this be due to a battery diode? Or are they only used with dual battery setup?

Re: Bafang M500/M600 thread
Luna is of no help. I am in contact with Bafang USA's warranty rep to see what they might be able to do about the low PAS issues. I inquired about how I could update to the latest firmware without sending my motor in. This is the latest from him: hi, Tom think it's the M600 controller problem. I nee...

Re: My Bafang Ultra Mountain Bike! Frey AM1000
You can't use eggrider. I believe they are coming out with a display pretty much identical to the eggrider which you can program the controller on the fly. The only cons are integrated lights don't work due to step down voltage issues. I replaced my rear light with a manual rechargeable light that i...

Re: My Bafang Ultra Mountain Bike! NEW FREY EX and FREY CC
Those are 250W nominal euro-spec motors so they can get away with it. From what I've read Gates spec does not allow for tensioner with higher powered motors, at least that's what Watt Wagons indicated. Re: Bafang ultra max 2.2kw EXCESS controller
I am told there will be an innotrace controller for the M600 next year, so you could upgrade later if the Bafang tuning doesn't meet your needs. I would go with the Dengfu E10 and M600 if you want something closer to a suitable eMTB at suitable cost. I think the Ultra may be too heavy for that purpo...

Re: Bafang M500/M600 thread
Where did you guys obtain the BESST tool? Lunacycle told me they would provide temporary login to flash the latest firmware from Bafang if I could obtain the BESST tool but they don't sell it. FLX won't sell it unless you buy a bike from them. I conctacted CNEbikes. They replied back that they don't...

Re: Bafang ultra max 2.2kw EXCESS controller
I get a little vibration stopped at a light with leg resting on pedal and slight force from partial body weight. Not any big deal though. I'd think this is normal as I've experienced similar with other torque sensing motors.

Re: My Bafang Ultra Mountain Bike! Frey AM1000
I am not trolling. You can put rack and fenders on the AM 1000. See link to Frey's FB page. Or just search this thread. Many have done it. You can even add them on the EX. Or see the FS offerings by QuietKat or Backou with Ultra motor. They have racks and fenders and ~$2000 of padding but otherwise ...

Dood, you can put rack and fenders on the AM 1000. Find your mythical $750 used FREY and the world is your oyster!

Re: Bafang ultra max 2.2kw EXCESS controller
Welcome to the club. Not only is the motor significantly smoother and more refined, but I'm seeing at least 20% improvement in range. I've been singing the praises of this controller since I got it and some might think I'm gushing and fawning too much, but no, it's really that much better. I feel ba...

Re: Bafang M500/M600 thread
Andy, where did you get your m600? I asked Luna whether they would consider allowing users to flash the latest Bafang firmware and they arrogantly responded that the Bafang programming was garbage and their tuning was superior. I've been pretty frustrated with the Luna tuning at lower PAS. It's funn...

Re: My Bafang Ultra Mountain Bike! Frey AM1000
Ha, you are delusional. Nobody is gong to sell you a used CC for $750 in 2 years. You might find a PoS used rear hub for that. TBH, the CC is an excellent value. Cost for rack and fenders is trivial. Shipping cost is what it is unless you get in on a group buy when offered and want to wait a LONG ti...

Re: Bafang M500/M600 thread
The BESST tool is only ~$100. If you read upthread the lastest firmware may be smoother and more efficient. If Frey gives you login credentials I would invest the $100 in a heartbeat. Heck I'd even offer to buy it from you for what you paid if it worked to flash the latest firmware to my luna X1, lol.

Re: My Bafang Ultra Mountain Bike! Frey AM1000
It is good to see they seem to be honoring warranty. Warranties are typically specified up front in writing. Otherwise what prevents a company from making up the rules as they go? It would be great to see specifics. All I have in writing from Frey is Frame and Electrical are covered for 24 months. I...

To be fair, he said his frame cracked 2 weeks ago and he just now realized it. He installed motor wit...
