Re: bluetooth BMS?

Does it go into the sleep state by itself after a set time? Or is it only put into the sleep state if you use the app?

Re: bluetooth BMS?

I've just ordered a 24s 100A one myself. A few questions you may be able to help with: Do you know what Balanced turn-on voltage is? Is this the voltage when it starts trying to balance any cells that are slightly higher than the rest? Do you know how the sleep power consumption makes sense? 200uA w...

Re: Stealth FUTR owners builds and pics

Does anyone know if a mark II FUTR Beta might accept tapered head tubes? Or is the current version possibly able to take tapered head tubes with the right headset/adapter?

Re: Keyne's DH Comp Build - now with liquid cooled HX35! :)

Clearly I've been away from this hobby for a long time, hoping to get back into it. Does anyone know if there is now a good high current SMART BMS available at a sensible price? That was my main problem with the original build, I want to know I can't kill my pack or even a cell group even if I let a...

Re: Keyne's DH Comp Build - now with liquid cooled HX35! :)

Thanks Luke, It's been a while since I've posted here, also a while since I've ridden the bike. (Damn PhD getting in the way :? ) The best cooling numbers I saw were about 700W (8deg drop, 1.2L flow). Done by measuring temp difference between entry and exit of the motor (to include heat loss from th...

Yeah that sounds pretty close. Hey sweet, show us some pics of the new paint job! It's been stripped back to a DH bike for a weekend on the Queenstown gondola, once it's back together I'll post some pics. Hell yeah now you're talking! I'd love to down down the same path, maybe with a kevlar / carbo...

Re: Intense M3 + Clyte HT3525 + HD video

That's the sort of sandy terrain is perfect for ebikes - because on a normal mtb it would just be really hard work! It does tend to heat up the motors a bit quicker though... I'm envious of your nice sandy trails, most of the trails near where I live are built on old glacial moraine - so are full of...

Re: Intense M3 + Clyte HT3525

Ok, cool, I think the m3 is about 4.7 with shock which would make the swing arm 1.3 - sounds about right. Your build made me go and modify my dh comps paint job and put on a whole bunch of decals :) I should post some pics I'm not going to let much out about my new build ideas yet sorry, other than ...

Re: Small water cooling pump test

The radiator size almost doesn't matter, but bigger is better, so use whatever fits nicely on your bike. It doesn't matter because it'll come down to creating a good thermal connection between the windings and the coolant, rather than how much you can cool the coolant. Don't get me wrong, obviously ...

Maybe I missed it earlier in the thread, but what material did you make your dropouts from? Also do you know what your final frame weight (just main triangle and swingarm) was? I'm starting to plan a new build ;)

Re: HoV's Exploration of Water Cooling w/ Oil Bath (Cromotor

My tip would be to seal up the motor and add some oil. It'll give some additional cooling by itself, but will help a lot with heat transfer from the windings to the stator iron. This was the best way I found to reduce the delta T between the windings and the actual coolant in my cooled hub motor.

Re: gearbox bike, belt drive, sequential shift etc.....

It's a little odd that the gearbox has quite a different layout to the one described in the patent. The one in the patent uses concentric shafts for the primary and tertiary drives (like the 18 speed pinion gearbox). Maybe they decided they prefer the higher suspension pivot? There doesn't seem to b...
