Re: e-bike, only 7.66 kg including battery !

This thread is about carbon fiber or about the bike? Trying to return to the topic, who suggests something in million dollar question: - motor kv? - this setup has a motor reduction? - what is the chain reduction? - the motor sprocket has a freewheel? I just love this setup. We have thousa...

Question about bc168 charger (charge through ballance wires)

Dear friends: I am using a 17s 1p in my GNG setup. I already have 3 bc168 charger (the same that hyena's sold to us sometime ago). I want to charge all the packs at same time, just looking for a connector choice, but it is not the case now. I am in doubt if I can use all the three chargers at same t...

Re: Can I upgrade my controller for more power & less range

Be careful with your battery pack. With this pack, I think that is not a good idea push more than 2c, so 30 amps... * 36v, something like 1000 watts, what is very good for a mac torque version motor! You always can put a 14s lipos and push a little bit more, like 1600/1800 watts! ...

zippy compact 5800mAh - real and nominal amperage

Well, just for some kind of record here in the sphere.

I drained the first cell of a 7s pack. Ordered a 4s pack to change this cell. Look at what I found:

I don't think it is a 3rd gen. It is a brushed motor/controller (look at 2 phase wires only on motor).

"Normally", sensorless controllers are "pedal first". I don't know how the ku65 starts the motor without initial movement!

Did you try pedal first until reach something like 8 or 10 km/h and hit the throttle after that?

Re: hyperion EOS 1420i net3 - output circuit error

You are correct, "problem" is what appears on LCD.

I bought a 24v 17A meanwell clone power supply today and, at least untill now, the problem appears to be solved. At this moment I am with a 6s 5800 mAh in a lipo store mode at 1.5Ah.

I will report after more tests!

Re: GNG, 1000W 48V BB-drive, $400

I can't comment on the bikemotive gear (although it looks great) as I haven't used it, but take a look at the cyclone ISIS crankset Fabio. A few of us have switched over to it after our GNG cranksets became wobbly, started slipping then spun on the spot after a short period of time. Mine did that a...

skyungjae: I have one kit, in use. Just trying to upgrade. The kit comes with one, but is crap. And I am running with 48v 40 amps, and my axle starts to bend. Because of the volts and amps I am running, I think I can use a bigger chainring for motor, to improve top speed, so I think this is the mome...

In this page:

What is the best combo for the gng kit? And which model of central movement should I use with it?

I can tell my experience: with 1500w (52v 35A), and hitting the throttle hard, less than 200km... If you want a longer life, please make some mod on the throttle to make it give you a slower response. THat is the key, at least for me. I'm using 14s, so in theory, the 1420i is the perfect choice. I will try to find a 24v power supply near here, but if the problem remains, what is my best choice in another charger?

And what about upgrade the firmware?

hyperion EOS 1420i net3 - output circuit error

Well, after almost 2 years of use (normal use, without abuse on volts and amps - normally charging at 3A), my unit suddenly starts to give me this warning in LCD screen. The manual, in troubleshooting, says to: inspect all cables (done), spray in all connectors de-oxide contact spray, insert and rem...

Re: Bargain wheel set with nexus 8 speed & hub motor

Arrived today. Appears to be a bafang/8fun, correct? I am planning to use with ku65 and 10s 5000mah lipos. If my math is correct, using real world 3800mAh from 5000mAh lipos (untill 3,6v), it will give me something near 7 kilometers at 550w, or near 18km with pedalling effort and using throttle wise...
