Re: Denzel 72v 4-spd Gearbox Build 125cc Dual Sport
thats why you put the shifter back on after inspection but if your going through the bother of legalising it you could also just register it like a street legal enduro Oh I misunderstood you, I thought you were saying to gear it like that forever...not just to pass inspection. That would work if we...

Re: Denzel 72v 4-spd Gearbox Build 125cc Dual Sport
id select a gear that the bike will start in like 2nd or 3rd, take the shifter off, go through inspection and then put it back on after inspection but thats me :) no different than programming a controller to 3000 watts for inspection and then bumping it to 5000 watts afterward then the top speed w...

Re: Denzel 72v 4-spd Gearbox Build 125cc Dual Sport
The overheating means you need a smaller rear sprocket, not a larger one. You seem to keep forgetting that it's a relatively low power motor in that casing. What's the no-load current of the entire drive train in low gear vs high gear? edit: I do own the new LRHDD XL motor that is a beast and same ...

Re: Denzel 72v 4-spd Gearbox Build 125cc Dual Sport
So I finally got pulled over by the cops one town over from where I live. I was riding slow down the right side of a main road with no helmet when he stopped in front of me. I shut it down said hello, got off and handed him my license per his request. I told him I can have it picked up with a truck ...

Re: Denzel 72v 4-spd Gearbox Build 125cc Dual Sport
Ordered an 18t sprocket to try and squeeze a little more top speed out of the bike now that it has a much more capable battery. Although i must say the only thing that worries me now is the motor overheating, i find myself constantly touching it after alot of take-offs and hard starts or when doubli...

Re: Trials Motorcycle EV Conversion
I think i'm going to try the Votol-100 or 150 Doesn't Eastgem/Denzel offer a plug&play controller for their motor? Yes but they do not offer field weakening to go faster than your voltage which is becoming pretty important these days, not for a trials bike so it may not pertain to all builds

Re: Trials Motorcycle EV Conversion
I just got the D9000 in the mail and the thing is huge! I would have to agree that there are much better designed and more powerful choices out there for its size, but for the price and how quick Alex at Eastgem ships this stuff to you, I just have to try the stuff out package said from china 8kg pr...

Re: Kelly Controller setting at low battery
That is how Kelly controllers are, it says it right in every manual. Not sure if there is an easy fix Monitoring battery voltage. It will stop driving if the battery voltage is too high and it will progressively cut back motor drive power as battery voltage drops until it cuts out altogether at the ...

Re: Denzel 72v 4-spd Gearbox Build 125cc Dual Sport
Getting alot more use now that i can reliably jump on it and not worry about a break down. Typically i would ride a voloci or my Vector light bike around town but lately i've been choosing this beast It now has a decent enough powerband with the stronger battery so i have been starting to try small ...

Re: Denzel 72v 4-spd Gearbox Build 125cc Dual Sport
Got a bunch of new updates on the Denzel 4-Spd electric dirt bike build. New 35ah 100a peak battery, new throttle, new controls, new headlight and finally a new foot shifter that is working well Had an issue with the front brakes locking up smoking the rotor hot but fixed it with a bleeding, this wa...

Did you really buy 5x $299 mini batteries?
that seems expensive but then again it must be a powerful pack at 30ah

Re: Can charging my bike be made easier?
Ya nice build man! i have no experience with the KEB(thing is huge) but i've owned KBS and KLS kelly controllers and they all have good throttle control. Could be throttle? or a setting in the GUI Votol controllers seem to be the new craze now since QS mid motors hit the market. Not sure how any of ...

Dude that thing looks freaking sweet! Must be silly fast being so light
Where did you get the frame idea? Very wonky looking with the shock joining the two halves together!
also that chain is fairly large so it wont be nearly as loud as most of the setups people complain about

Parallel two of the 14awg wires instead of buying more and wasting money. I would only keep the 14awg if its nice 200c silicon jacket high strand count. If its garbage buy 12-10awg. The shorter the wire the better off youll be
