Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

The flaw would be it making noise to the point where people are looking at you from a distance while riding in public places and the rider is complaining about the noise himself while riding... not all mid drives have two stage reduction, and not all are that loud. some are almost silent with the co...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

Not all mid drives are loud, don't throw us all in this category because of a Sur-ron flaw

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

The front brake should be on the right, just like on any motorcycle and scooter. It is the standard for a reason. +1 However, if you have the front brake on the left side you could do burnout's much easier  This is personal preference and sort of region based. So i run front brake on left also...

Re: Kuberg Freerider Extended Swingarm Project

Here is a completely un-edited upload of my brother and I trail riding. This is my first time ever riding these trails in Ashburnham, MA and I was letting him lead the way for most of it. A few minutes in we get to a dirt road and are able to get some race laps in for fun, shortly after that we take...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

Im not sure i can relate to the homolgation costing more since that does not really matter here in the states. Did I miss something? If you are in the states, why not purchase from Luna? They are $3,890 - that is a pretty far cry from $6,000. I am in the states I'm just speaking out about how ridic...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

I'm pretty sure that if you ride the Sur-Ron on any public streets in the US you will still need "moped" insurance (and possibly plates depending on the state), and a motorcycle endorsement in some states. Correct. In California, you only need a regular driver's license, plates and insurance. My in...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

Im not sure i can relate to the homolgation costing more since that does not really matter here in the states. Fetcher and other members are street commuting with the regular sur-ron with very few mods(lights blinkers and mirrors) you dont even need a license plate holder because mopeds just get a s...

Re: Oset 24" build

I have yet to see a video of trial type riding with the sur-ron. Even LMX just put a short trial vid up and its pretty good. Looking forward to seeing what you think of the sur-ron compared to the Oset? Wouldnt the Oset be more suited to trials type riding?

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

Take a look at the first page of this thread...they started off at under $3000 actually.

You can have your opinion and ill have that much more money in the bank! But yes a Zero and sur ron are not nearly the same that is exactly why the sur ron should not be $6000

Cannot belive that after that ride with my bro on his Kx125 my batteries were only at 3.8v per cell! That's 45minutes of brutal trails and hard pulls and two decently sized hill climbs. Stupid me was not running my GPS app so I still do not have top speed or mileage...im slacking Here are a few pics...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

At that price the Zero FX is only a few grand more and in my state there is a tax credit $750 for purchasing one!

Sur-ron imo is a $3k dollar bike any more and it starts getting laughable

Almost 3kwhr battery is pretty amazing.
That thing looks sturdy as hell also.

Looks like a lot of fun from here.
Now we know why its so freaking wide, to cram that long runtime battery in place. Can probably get two good hours of riding with that!
