Re: Making a C120-110

Hi Thud. :) 10kw++ with the same diameter and length of a stock kx100 crank shaft... you betcha; NOTHING ELSE even comes close the the awesomeness/power density/form factor of this! Get this, the engine already comes with a gear that is PERFECT, both in that it has a 12mm hole, and that it has 32 (o...

Re: Making a C120-110

Awesome, I thought so about the end turns. You just don't see any loooong outrunners, so I figured there must be some reason. Maybe I'm on to something here?! I will start my own thread for the build once I have the motors in hand. I already have the KX100 bike and trans torn apart. Thanks...

Re: Making a C120-110

I will be able to purchase two 80-100 motors in the next few days. I plan to attempt the same thing you have here. It will be going in a "KX-100" 6 speed transmission. ;) You can help me know if I should go ahead and do it by giving an update on how yours is turning out. I have saved for 2+ months j...

Re: Colossus 2013 by Zelena vozila

It's the HEINZMANN PMS 120, made for 48v but ran at ~70v (in the Enertia). A 300v version is used in the KTM Freeride E. Here is a site that appears to have them for sale and a downloadable spec PDF: http://www.electricmotorsport.com/store/ems_ev_parts_opportunity_buys_A011-MOTOR-PMS120.php Specs fo...

Re: Colossus 2013 by Zelena vozila

How about these guys for a controller: http://www.dmcde.de/ It is the brand that Brammo used. Last I checked a controller from them should cost about $6-800 usd. I found out about them by calling Brammo in order to obtain a controller to run the http://www.heinzmann.com/en motor I have that they use...

8) Motivation and maybe more clarity was what I was pushing for, thank you. You gotta prod the cattle once in a while! ;) Sorry for being harsh, but it worked. My intentions are pure. Now: how about some new pics and vids and specs? Maybe get a fresh start with the hypothetical assumption that no on...

Maybe you guys didn't really get the message, but... Both motors are DEAD! Congratulations! Sheeeesh, WTF! ? Neither motor will go into production. Neither motor will be sold. "no more activity with these motors" Though, the 7kw (80-100) motor may be back someday for another production run "When I ...

Re: The *Genesis* is only the begining...

Thanks guys. Sorry I never replied. I'm a POS.

I'm sure you're right about the air flow thing.

I do have a shroud around the back/base of the motor now so the air has to pass along the can to reach the back of the fan there.

Re: Colossus 2013 by Zelena vozila

Hello Accountant,

I would like to purchase 2 or 3 of the 7kw (80-100) motors please.

I hope I am not too late?

I would even just buy the parts or without any copper windings, as I plan to combine them and wind them with copper myself.

Thank you,
Jay

Re: Turnigy 80-100 Motors $125

I can't be SOL on getting my hands on two of these!!!!!!! I have already purchased a dirtbike (without engine) and an engine for it, and have already disassembled and "destroyed" this engine, to get it ready for 2 of these motors to go in place of the original crank shaft. And, the space available w...

Re: Turnigy 80-100 Motors $125

I think that is still a fine price for such a motor! I paid $150+ for my first one from hobbyking, and that was the old crappy version that was impossible to rewind. (minus making stator cookies!!!!! :) What do you think, if I were to buy 2 or 3 of them, would you do it again? You could put ...

Custom 6500W+ Ebike with Fox 40's, Whole or Parts

Hi guys, I've decided to build a whole new Ebike on a KX100 frame so I'm looking to sell my current ebike whole or in parts. If sold in parts I'd like to sell them as "complete" units such as If you'd like the forks, then that would be the forks with everything that is attached to them including the...

I'm not frustrated with you thud. You gave your replies an honest try. What gets me is.. case in point; A thread is started asking how to add a brake light and just a few days later there is 6 pages of replies...blaaablaablaaaaa. This is especially frustrating when there are already multiple threads...
