Charge and sag

Running 32120 headway's cells. They always seem saggy after a full charge and balance at 1st run, let them set for a few hours and next run is great as the day i bought them. Is this the norm for these cells.
Any input appreciated.

Re: Electric Mower Motor for bike

The motor is under the rear of the seat and tire. Between the motor and wheel is a 2 stage reduction, on the left side. This is the best I can describe in words. I have pictures , I have tried to post, with no success. Sorry

Re: Electric Mower Motor for bike

I built my bike using a brushed motor off a 24 volt ryobi cordless mower, running on 36 volts. Its good for about 600 watts continuous and fairly peppy from a stop. However this type of build is not easy to do, since you need at least a 12 to 1 reduction on 26 inch wheel. The motor is 9 lbs. The big...

Re: exercise bike with built in generator... Help Please

I can't speak for the bike you have, however many exercise bikes have poor generators as far as electric energy is concerned, they are designed to create mechanical load not useful electrical power, in fact many don't even use laminate steel etc. If I wanted an exercise bike to charge batteries and ...

Even Better ... I just got a pile of external power supplies for some Dell mini computers. These are nice compact 12V 10A units. BTW Those dell supplies work great, you can vary the voltage from 3.6 to 12 volts easy. I have worked out a circuit that make those units do CC,CV. AND EOC I run 4 in ser...

Re: What size cells does this nimh

Those batteries appear to be, what one would find in a emergency florescence ballast to provide temporary lighting. C size NICAD 4500 ma. All the ones i have plucked apart are 2S. That one looks like 3S. The box shown on the right of picture suggest that's what it is.

Re: Anyone use balancing PCB's ?

i just finished building and testing one. It works a charm. Its based off the lm431 shunt regulator and will shed 75 ma.

I bulk charge and as soon as one cell goes high, i turn down the amps to 75 ma and let the balance r level all the cells.

Re: JST balance taps suck. What should I replace them with?

I am using Tyco connectors, known as CPC , (circular plastic connectors) AMP style.

I can't really speak of quality yet, they have not been in service that long.

Just curious as to what people think about these.

Thanks

Re: Single cell LVC and Shunt?

Not sure how to word my thoughts on this. or if I am understanding the question in the first place. So I will give it a stab anyhow. I think the goal is. To eliminate the resistance of the weak cell group, to utilize all the capacity of the strong cells, to get you home, with the sacrifice of lower ...

Re: Testing the lm431 shunt regulator

Hey !! Thanks again for the help. the circuit works a charm!! 0 amps to .75 amps, well within a 10 mv difference. I never did get the LED to work directly off the LM 431. So I used a transistor to sense the shunt and drive the LED, nice and crisp turn on. I am currently torturing the circuit, to be ...
