Re: Aprilia Enjoy

No worries, did you make the BMS as well mate?
I like the look of the 18650 format, hooking them together might be problematical though :|

Hi Sam, any particular reason you chose that spec battery over (say, VTC5s) ... bigger capacity? Also interested in the specs of the BMS

Thanks mate ;)

Re: Aussie 200 Watt Limit Thread

G'day peeps :D Would it not be sensible to limit top speed assisted to 25 (or 30 ish kmh) and have no limit of power? That way, people who live where there are long, steep hills (with strong head winds) can get up them relatively easy and at the same time, not exceed the speed that motorists expect ...

Re: Aprilia Enjoy

Hi All, Here is my Aprilia finally finished with the new mods. The first thing I did was to fit the Nuvinci hub onto a new velocity rim with a Schwalbe Marathon tyre. I then fitted a Surly Singleator chain tensioner ( if you do this do not forget to buy an 18mm cone spanner with it because you cann...

AEG, one of the world´s most significant electronic brands, Hmm...never heard of them before. Odd for supposedly being in that group. Wish they had photos of it instead of just CGI concepts. Hi amber, I bought a AEG arc welder new in 1978; still going strong. Don't know about electronics though.

... In breaking news, I got some pretty news from my oncologist this arvo. My tumor is still there (about the size of a golf ball) but not growing so they're not going to do any more treatment for now and just watch it for the coming months. Re: Aprilia Enjoy

Because if he uses a 6s cell on a 21.5 volt cutout (could be as low as 21.0V based on the stated tolerance) he will take his packs below 3.7volts and they either won't last, or cook his balls. Or both. Sam, he won't at 3.6V - LiPo is fine down to around 3.3V although I would never recommend it and ...

I've noticed that most are going for 36v over 24v LiPo. Whats the advantage of this ? Anything really wrong with staying 24v ? I've looked at these http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/%5F%5F16228%5F%5FZIPPY%5FFlightmax%5F8000mAh%5F6S1P%5F30C%5F.html which whilst only 24v seem to be a good fit ...

Aye don't mind a drop of the red now and again, are you also partial to the yellow dark side 8) , in the chilly depths of the semi desert winter, to warm those Whyalla cockles. Don't particularly like the taste, and the cook and bottle washer takes care of the second :) Like their draught though, b...

Hi guys, been away on something else for a coupla days ... I think I remember reading that GT charges on the LILO setting. Cheers, Tony. Yes, I only use the LiLo setting now - it extends the life of the pack if you only charge to 4.1V and discharge to 3.8V. Obviously, you need to have the battery ca...

Re: How much does beer cost where you live

the home made wine kits instruct you to clean and sterilize using sodium metabisulphite ( spelling might be off ) it's very important to rinse your bottles with clean water and flush all that stuff out, it can be responsible for most of the hangover... I also tend to use less than all the sulphite ...

Re: Aprilia Enjoy

It's all good so far Tony :D Take an easy ride for about 5km, then just do a charge (not a balance charge) with the balance leads connected so you can monitor the cells. If they are more than 0.03V out, balance again. You should be right after that.

Not psychic, experienced

Re: Finally a new chapter for my Current "Trail Drive"!

Just ordered two 17mm shaft clamps that will be welded to the side plates and take the place of the side nuts once I shorten the axles to get this puppy finalized! I will be pinning the shaft on both sides into the clamps as well for extra anti spin holding power! This should have make a very robus...
