Re: [Q] 2 kids trailer above 5 yrs old ages

CHROOT,

What are the dimensions of the HT35? If the Diameter is less than or equal to the Clyte 407, I don't see a problem. (I haven't tracked crystallyte and become familiar with the HT35)

Re: Yuba Mundo V3.3 - is now Stoke Monkey ready : )

Hey Ryan, I apologize for the tardy reply - Everytime I have built one, dog gone it, someone has come and bought it, so I made one for myself that is not for sale and have been parking my Sprinter van. Further, I had to confer with Clever about selling the bracket, etc by themselves - but more on th...

Re: Yuba Mundo V3.3 - is now Stoke Monkey ready : )

Hello Yuba Mid Drive Folks, ryan suggested I post here to let you know about the conversion kit I am making for the Yuba V4 to make it Stoke Monkey compatible. Essentially, is it a Stainless Steel bar with flanges that mounts on the center stand tab on the lower end and the brake bosses on the top. ...

Re: Dewalt A123 BMS battery interface solution

Hello, There may already be a thread on this, but I haven't been able to find it. Does anyone know a safe testing process to determine the health of a dewalt battery? I am looking for a process that would not involve using kfong's adapter (to start). I am trying to determine if my batteries have eno...

Re: Dropout Failure Experiements, and a call for Fork Donations

Hey Justin, In your tests, have you applied any grease to the axle threads? In Bike Mechanic School (UBI), they taught us that greasing the threads can increase the fastening force by up to 40% while reducing friction-based torsional strain. I would love to see a few tests with something like a thin...

Re: Anyone been able to Insure their E-Bike? (Theft, etc.)

Maybe what I really need is an anti-theft device, some kinda capacitor that would give you enough of a jolt if you tried to mess with the bike to think twice, but not enough to really hurt you ... especially when I will probably shock myself with it more than once forgetting it's on   .....

Re: Anyone been able to Insure their E-Bike? (Theft, etc.)

If your E-bike is documented and especially if its registered, you can file a claim against your home-owners insurance or renters insurance...IF its stolen from your home. It would require a police burglary report. If stolen from the front of a store...you'd have to ask several insurance agents. Un...

Not a pure home build from the ground up (someday!). It is a conversion kit build.

Re: Creating an E bike Market Explosion....

Lock, I have sold bikes to folks in retirement villas - and it came back to bite me hard. They crashed and then their children blamed me for selling to them (after asking me to custom make the bike over 6 weeks... I didn't want to make it for him) Customer then asked for a full refund for the crashe...

Re: HELMETS...?

Sheriff Jon, You have a valid point. Car seats are a parallel case, in his book, Freakanomic , Duber and Levitt make the case that child car seats have shown no statistical improvement on injury levels and argue that prior to car seats, drivers were more cautious and so the injury level proved const...

We are fluent in the concepts of horsepower, anti-lock brakes, air bags, etc, because we all want great lifestyles and have been barraged with marketing messages....

Hey there, If you have a Double-Arm Park Repair Stand, I created an 'air-lift' that converts it to be able to lift up to 250 pounds for about $30 of hardware. I have not perfected the safety features and have launched the arm of my repair stand 2x (with no bikes in it thankfully). The video is admit...

NiMH 36v Rack Mount Batteries

Hello, I am wondering if anyone out there has a recommendation for some 36V NiMH rack-mounted batteries for a Bike Friday that I am converting. The rider will be flying internationally and cannot take Li-Ion of any chemistry. Looking for 15-20Ah.

Thanks!
