Hi Lyen, noticed the voltage range at max 55v. Im running a 52v nominal battery (58.8v fully charged). Will this still work? Trying to power a 7.4v light.
The absolute maximum voltage is 55V. Therefore, the fully charged voltage of your battery exceeded the specification of the DC converter.

Re: DC-DC Multi-Purpose Voltage Converter

I have just tested the standby current which shows virtually no current draw at all. :) Here is the picture: http://lyen.com/Products/Product_Photos/DC_Converter_No_Load_Test.JPG I have used one for a year now and works great powering a simple tail light, no more AAA batteries is nice. Hi Fechter, it is good to hear from you. The chip is covered with epoxy type material so I am not able to see it.

DC-DC Multi-Purpose Voltage Converter

This is for a nifty and versatile device I have been testing for the last few months. It is very easy to use, all you have to do is twist the knob on the bottom to your preferred output voltage. The DC-DC step down voltage converter has many uses mention below: http://lyen.com/Products/Optional_cont...

Re: Testing hall sensors INSIDE hub motor (bafang)

I see burned marks near one of the electronic component labeled as C5. It's a capacitor. If it is shorted, it may redirect voltage from the red wire (+5V) to the hall signal wires, which render voltage to stay at +5V. I'd suggest to verify continuity or resistance between both ends of the C5 capacit...

Re: Ebike motor/controller hall/phase/throttle tester $29

Hello Martin, Thanks for the videos, I see that your throttle is fully functional. As for your controller from Yiyuh, can you tell me if your controller is hall sensors equipped and was working before? I assumed it does automatically detect the phase spacing angle either 60 degree or 120 degree. The...

Yes, Alfine 11 is 135mm which is perfect for the 29er frame. See the link below for the hub width:

Re: can 700c wheels be used with 29er frame?

The rear hub for most 700C is 130mm, whereas the 29er is likely 135mm. So using the 700C wheel with wheel hub is likely 5mm short. Unless you are referring to the rim only. Yes, I am a diehard 700C roadie. :)

Thanks Lyen, I was thinking about getting a better soldering iron as this is something super useful for ebike. I'm not sure which one would be the best value for money? I'm planning to remove the mosfet as described by dnmun: cut the main bit then remove the legs one by one. Should be simpler this ...

Re: Reverse polarity with my controller

Hi Cwah, The reason for two soldering irons was because I thought you are on budget and not used to pull the three legs with only one iron without overheat the components. If you manage to pull the MOSFET out by tapping on it for two to three seconds then one is enough. You sure can use order brand ...
