Re: 75-7 motor

If it's useful, I think I have a Sevcon from a Zero that used one of the 75 motors, though I don't know which one (never had the motor). I may also have the main connector/wiring harness (not the battery/phase wires, just the big rectangular connector). (I don't have any of the programming stuff for...

Re: Emax 110S no throttle

The only other weird thing is that it appears that the break light is on even though they are not engaged. That indicates whatever switch or wiring engages that light is "on", even if the levers are not pulled at all. Often, it's a bad switch, just stuck in the on position, or a lever who...

Unless there is a freewheel sprocket that would allow both forward and backward spinning?
How would you pedal?

Taking the chain off the rear sprocket would be the only viable option without custom building some kind of user-switchable internal clutch into your BB or your rear wheel.

Re: Hailong 48v 17.5ah constantly reading 100%

I've searched but can't find any posts detailing the issues I am having with a Hailong 48v 17.5ah battery powering a TSDZ2 motor. I have just noticed on the last 3 rides that the TSDZ2 display and the battery display shows 100% charge irrespective of the distance ridden ie the battery voltage isn't...

I barely ever post here Sorry to butt in, as I have no opinion on the present discussion, but would like to point out the above statement isn't really true, with 1500+ posts over a few years (recently, posting every few days): https://endless-sphere.com/forums/search.php?author_id=39029&sr=posts

Re: Blue 4 Pin Julet connector on Blix Eclipse

A tail light would just connect to the appropriate power source on your bike, directly, so that it turns on when you turn the bike on. There are many kinds, and voltages they need, and amounts of current they'll need to operate. Anything bright enough to be useful will take more power than you can g...

Re: Help Identifying Battery Connector

before ordering I would ask Grin for the spacing measurements and thicknesss of the fingers on their connector, so you can make sure it's the same as on yours. Not all the ones I have seen have the same finger / slot sizes or spacing. But it was the only one I knew I had seen that I knew where the p...

Re: CA digital switch - extra button

There is a brown lead that is not connected hidden in the wrap. It's short enough that I will have to splice something onto it if I were to connect it. The paperwork says there's two wires for the unused switch/button, presumably one on each pin (side) of it. Now to determine what happens when each...

Re: CA digital switch - extra button

The odd thing is that each 3 pin JST has 4 wires going to them. In the new pics I can see a bit better from the different angles. I see the female JST (the one with holes for contacts) with a brown, white, and yellow wire from the cable. I see the male JST (the one with pins for contacts) with a re...

Re: CA digital switch - extra button

I dont' see any shrinkwrap over the cable itself, which is where the spare wires would be (not on the JSTs). The picture isn't at the right angle to see the end of the cable, so I can't see if there are any flush-cut wires in the jacket. There couldn't be wires farther down the jacket, because the j...

Re: Short/arc fault in cold weather on XT-90

I also misspoke a little describing the accident as the trailer jackknifing; it was more of a reverse-jackknife, i.e. the trailer stayed straight but the bike jackknifed once I had dropped under 10 MPH or so. The brakes on my bike are very good, they stopped me, who weighs about 185, my 100 lb. e-b...

Re: Using zener diode to reduce charge voltage

And also be aware that the voltage drop on a diode changes with the current thru it, and with temperature (not usually much, but it does). So as your charge current changes thru the charge cycle, so will the voltage dropped across the diodes. You'll need to check the spec sheet for the specific diod...
