Is there a hub motor out there that is small (~5" dia.) with integrated controller? That'd be absolutely perfect for me.

Re: Ebike not powering up help !!!!

I only used one battery at a time they are not connected. I connected one 8000mah battery to the controller box and got a spark . But no power lights or any indication that there was power going to to the motor . I checked the battery with my cen tech meter and the voltage was 47-48. I think You ne...

Re: any Ebike only thumb throtthe mode 25kmh range 50 km

Forgot to mention. You will need atleast a 48v 20ah battery and ride at around 25-30km/h max to get +50km distance on a Direct drive.
You can also go geared 250w hub motor and a smaller battery. But that will get boring quick in my opinion.

Re: Leaf / leafmotor / leafbike high efficiency 1500w motor

Have you tried to contact Grin Technologies customer service? They are usually really good at trouble shooting these types of problems. So I just went and bought a "Leafmotor 1500W" and one C7240-GR controller. Sadly, I can not manage to figure out what setting I should be doing inside CA3 setup.Can...

born49, Great build! And great choice of components. I am wondering about those Custom CNCed dropouts (steel, 15mm width, 1 kg weight for both pieces). What would it cost to get more of those made? Those CNCed dropouts are the BOMB. Is this what it looked like before? http://vision-m.com/img/es/norc...

Stockholm looks like a beautiful place with lots of polite bike commuters and streets with no cars allowed. Was that your buddy with the blue backpack? He looked like he's on a throttle only bike? Re: Illegal to own powerful ebike?

Yes I know it is no problem if you think about how you ride and have a normal bike rebuild (I have one also). But since I also have a new more obvious e-bike looking bike I just want to know that the law says even if I ride slow when people are around. I mean if see a cop in the town (not very likl...

1. Can I pedal with it when the power is off? (silent motor, was it on or not in slow speeds...?) 2. If above is not allowed, can I pedal with it if I show it is not working (secret kill switch, battery "broken" and so on). 3. Can I sit still on the bike turned on? 4. Can I sit still on the bike if...

Re: Leaf / leafmotor / leafbike high efficiency 1500w motor

Get the 1000w motor if you are going to run 25 amps. 1500w hubmotors need 40+ amps controllers to be happy. The question is this, do I need the 1500W motor or could I settle for the 1000W, maybe even with splines? Why I ask is because I want to use my 8 speed cassette setup that I have now, so using...

Good job and thanks for reporting. OK so I got confirmation from both reverse-engineering the controller and from seller (auto-ebike) : the controller's absolute maximum voltage rating is 50V. Keep us posted. I chose to buy a boost converter from @li (1500W 30A 10-60V), will post the results in 3 to...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I have run all my 36v ebikes with 12s lipo battery which i personally full charge to 49.20v. I have never had a problem. I suspect it is possible to run the 36v TSDZ2 Torque motor with 12s Lipo, if you have a top charge of 49.20v or lower. I have one of these motors at home but have not installed it...

Re: Bafang BBSHD, 1000W, 68mm-120mm BB

The weak point is in the LCD display. You got moisture in your display and that is why you got the failure.
You need to fix a water proofing solution for the display. I recommend a LCD cover.

Re: Help in picking out parts for my first bike

Since you are in Sweden, you should check the legal requirements if you care about that stuff. I think most Euro countries have 250w PAS only systems. That will narrow your selection quite a bit. I have passed many cops in my 7 years of ebiking in stockholm and so far have not had any trouble. The ...

Re: Leaf / leafmotor / leafbike high efficiency 1500w motor

Good info on the 5T, i especially agree with choosing the wind according to your needs. Here in Stockholm going 60+km/h on our awesome bike lanes is asking for trouble. I am planning on running 5T on 12s LiPo for a max speed of 50km/h and lots of torque. Thanks for sharing. First, I took my 5T 1500W...

You misspelled fastest on the title btw. I have had a 29er DD for over a year and am now in the process of going back to 26. The tire selection sucks and the 9x7 9c DD struggles and complains with my lightweight 30a controller on 48v. Might work better with a bigger motor and controller. If you are ...

Re: EM3ev, setting the record straight on a few things

So, the question is, is it worth it? From a bottom line technical perspective? NO As you said you can buy two. The worst that happens with these kits is either you blow the controller or you strip the gears, which are easy to replace. Personally I don't believe E-rad claim, and i have been around a...

Hey are you still selling these, and is it $25 shipped to Western Canada? NEW BOLT ON TORQUE ARMS means he has more than one to sell. If you think that is e...
