Re: Wiring A "Universal Handlebar Switch" Without A Wiring D
If it follows somewhat standard automotive the green would be for right turn signal, Yellow for left, Brown for running lights, white for ground. In industrial apps Blue is DC+. Often times you can get a partial ground if the white wire isn't properly grounded and current will try to back feed thou...

Re: Anyone used the 1500w ebay hub motor?
This has the leads coming inside the dropout. Pretty much the only reason I bought it instead of leaf. Well, Leaf 1500W motors are like that too. But they have a good reputation that they earned. https://leafbike.com/u_file/product/16_05_06/39dcf9ea01.jpg I got both. I think the reason I didn’t get...

Hi, great looking motor. Do you mind my asking how do you go about getting spokes for this motor and if you have any idea what size they are for 20", 24", 26" builds etc. Thanks. The seller linked in this thread sells them pre laced from 24 to 28". Cheers Tommm. :bigthumb:

I'd try all of these motors if I could figure out where to get spokes for lacing them.

Re: MAC motor selection and MAC clutch issues.
Hi I tried to post in the original thread for MAC Tear-Down but that was locked/disabled. Despite my best efforts I managed to lose a few bits and pieces. It's a result of long periods between jobs. Thanks for the Original TD thread-without it I'd never even have dared the repair. Specifically I'd l...

Re: rewinding hub motors.
Thanks guys. Lockdown being Lockdown I don't find hub motors so cheap. $400+
Over here a 4080 in a 20" rim sets you back £400stg.
Seems a shame to call it quits. It literally never once ran in anger.

Re: EM3ev vs Luna Batteries and Kits
Just regards EM3EV I have been looking to get 1. Technical advice 2. Buy a new 12t Rear Mac .........sent them an email yesterday and have not heard back yet. That's not unusual per se, due regard to the WuFlu etc. However, their not having any Mac motors listed for sale is very unusual indeed. Only...

So what's the low down with Kelly then? When did they acquire such a bad rep? They were pretty sui generis here for some time. You started off with the bog standard crap off ebay, then Ed Lyens monkeyed up Infineons, then a Kelly, then the Sabvotons.....

Re: Nucular electronics - complete kit for ev! [beta]
Hi. I need a controller for a cheap chinese motor, "KUNRAY", runs around 48v or more, 4800rpm.
It's a 3 phase BLDC with hall sensors.
Can you provide an option for my needs?
Thank you.

Re: My1020 / Kunray / YaLU 1000 - 2000W motor ?
Low power to weight ratio on those babies. Probably not great efficiency. Of course they're cheap. with dimensions like that, they'd be my last choice, as you'd instantly get a weight imbalance no matter where/how you mounted the motor. I think mine came at 4,4KG which is 9.7lbs in "Old Money&...

Does anyone own one of those MY1020 / Kunray / Yalu or whatever motor they are called: motor.png Super cheap and readily available. They seem to come in 2 versions: a 124mm 1000W and a 134mm 2000W. Both 107mm diameter. Weight is somewhere between 3.5 and 4kg. A version with a 4-bolts foot is also a...

Re: BLDC Controller 48v to 72v 30A For High RPM Motor
Still interested. Hooked up a Cellman Infineon to it last night and at low battery it works fine but a charged 48v battery means motor does that surging thing that these high RPM motors do when used with Low RPM controllers. People are selling on EBAY but they either sell with the Motor for large $$...

BLDC Controller 48v to 72v 30A For High RPM Motor
Hi, picked myself up a Kunray style BLDC cos it was going cheap. I've got a load of controllers but most are infineon/MAC geared oriented so I doubt they will work straight up. I'm looking for a good controller that can handle 3000w and is high RPM suited. 4500RPM or so. Indicators, cruise, reverse ...

Hey guys, does anybody know what the correct term is for the fibreglass fire sleeving around the wires in the MAC motor? Does anybody know what diameter I need to order it in?
