Looking down on the rear Capreo hub and 9 speed cassette - it's tight in there and maybe a larger cog will let hte chain avoid the brake thing?

Re: Greenspeed GT3 Daily Driver - 1st Low Speed Conservative

Thanks Hillhater! I may well have miscalculated! Looking around the forum I was thinking more like 10-15wh/km riding conservatively with lots of pedalling but it's still cutting it really fine isn't it? So at least 25Ah then - great stuff. Really important the rest of the trike functions well withou...

Greenspeed GT3 Daily Driver - 1st Low Speed Conservative Bui

HI ES Non Hub Big Boys! I lurked on the forum a few years ago and was inspired to get a Greenspeed Trike by some of the projects going on then! I fell in love with the trike and never got round to electrifying it! Have dropped on here infrequently over the last few years and have always been blown a...

Re: How Motors Work - some educational links

Ooooooh I'm loving this stuff fetcher!!!! Thanks for posting this! Really going to have to put in a few hours and get my head around it all. I'm in no real hurry with my build - just really want to think it through and design it so it works first time. This is probably going to be the slowest build ...

Re: Horns of a Dillema:Need Help/Advice with Electrifying trike!

Hello Fellas! I have stopped researching this while I was trying to get the balls and my shit together to commit to this. I was broke as or I would have bought this stuff straight away! I've been pretty stressed over the past few months out with trying to get a new job (no fun at the moment) and get...

Re: Fechter's Throttle Interface for RC controllers

Hey Fetcher,

Any chance of getting one of these off of you still please? I'm a newbie wanting to run an astro 3210 with Matts signle stage reduction drive and a castle controller. Thank you! Rana

Re: Greenspeed Trikes + Cyclone Front Crank Compatibility

Update!!! I received my second hand Greenspeed GT3 yesterday. Folded it out had some pedals attached at the bike shop down the road and rode it home last night and to work this morning. So I'm a triker now (solar powered only in the sense that the food I eat gets its energy from the sun!). I have ne...

Re: Cyclone Owners - post your reviews/comments/tips here

Allright! I've spent ages prowling around while I wait for my Trike to show up!! After much research I am going to attempt to do a Greenspeed GT3 setup with a detuned 650W cyclone into a 500W setup at 24V with their double freewheel system. I figure I've just got to try it out and see what happens! ...

Re: Greenspeed Trikes + Cyclone Front Crank Compatibility

Hi Guys, Just thought I'd post a couple of updates in where I am at with this project - and s**tloads more questions! I got a Greenspeed GT3 series 1 on Ebay at a good price - should have it shipped over to Sydney it in a week or so which is very exciting. I have never owned or ridden a recumbent be...

Re: Greenspeed Trikes + Cyclone Front Crank Compatibility

Wow this is awesome - thanks everyone for this! I absolutely love this forum already! Cool Gunter - the amount of energy you get per installed W of solar panel depends on where you are in in the world and how sunny it is there. In sunny Sydney charging batteries with a power point tracking solar reg...

Re: Greenspeed Trikes + Cyclone Front Crank Compatibility

G'day Aussie, Oatley do not really have a presence in Australia as far as I am aware. Since you asked here is a shameless plug of where I work: http://www.todae.com.au - click on Solar Panels and Wind generators is one of the links under that. We also have an EBay page and you can sometimes get a fa...

Greenspeed Trikes + Cyclone Front Crank Compatibility

Hello Everyone, I'm a big fan of this forum - been doing a lot of reading and researching for a solar charged electric trike I really want to build an a very tight budget. This might seem like a bit of a dumb question but does anybody know if the Greenspeed (looking at getting an old 2004 GTR) front...
