Re: AUS Melbourne spring group ride get together???

Love to come out folks and Westerfolds is almost in my backyard.
But an incident yesterday at Lysterfiled involving my shoulder and a tree means 6 weeks off the bikes.

Have fun all.

Hey Amber,
Been away for a while and just caught the news.....speechless.
So sorry for what has happened.

But glad to see the ES community rally to help out one of its own. I'll get your details and chip in as well.
Stay strong my friend,

Aussies: Shipping a bike Syd --> Mel

Hi all, after some advice.
Needing to ship a track bike from Sydney to Melbourne. Not electric so not that heavy.
Some of the quotes from couriers are downright frightening.
Anyone with experience of shipping whole bikes have any advice / tips?

Cheers,

Re: Hyena's e-bike builds (now with HD video)

Geez, ya neighbours don't mind putting up a light or two for Christmas much do they? Glad to see you remembered the black round things are the side meant to stay on the ground this time. Even with those lights, that single track was taken at a speed my balls aren't big enough for. Maybe I'm getting ...

Re: Commuter Booster - Analog Throttle Trial

The riding in a pack comment is spot on. That's what I was thinking on Sat trying to control the speed with simple on/off (and pedaling) in the group. Hence my question about more throttle control. However, also had forgotten about the cruise control option. Think I'll just learn to the use the unit...

Re: Beef Jerky

Mark, Been making a bit of jerky lately. Some excess sheep to take care of. Using the cures from http://mistygully.com.au/ mainly as I want to preserve the meat (as well as flavour it). Used some of the Hi Mountain Jerky kits which are fine but now using the curing salts and my "new" smoker. Made a ...

Re: Highracer E-recumbent build. Frame design advice sought

Batfink,
Are you saying suspension for rider comfort or to assist with integrity of the rear triangle?
Rider 'comfort' will be catered for with large air volume tyres, polyurethane bushing between seat and frame and seat cushioning.
Cheers,

Highracer E-recumbent build. Frame design advice sought

Hi kids, Next project is something a little different (for me at least) Plan is to build a highracer style recumbent with a rear hub motor. I have a spare motor and a new 48V16Ah Headway pack that form the basis of the build. Here is where I'm at with the thinking on the design: highracer.png Frame ...

Re: Got my aquaponics project started

Dee Jay - mine is a commercial system, didn't go the DIY route, although I plan to extend the system. Presently the 1000L tank is stocked with rainbow trout. Grow about 25 at a time. From fingerlings to plate size in about 8-9months. Feed them a fish food I get from my supplier. Recirc comes from a ...
