Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor
The page about improving the heat dissipation from the motor is ready: https://github.com/najbyk/TSDZ2-cooling/wiki Any suggestions are appreciated. Before making an improvement, it is worth doing a continuous engine power test at a constant temperature. To be able to compare the results after impr...

Ok, thanks But the "Return 0" at the end of the main is necessary ? No problem! It is not necessary in the current form but you do not need to remove it. It is just a warning. You can do however you like. I have compiled and tested the latest version on your GitHub. The current reading is ...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor
Hi,
I'd like to know if the following warning messages in normal when compile a new release :
...
main.c:125: warning 126: unreachable code
....
....
main.c:83: warning 126: unreachable code
The instruction "Return 0" at the end of the main.c was the cause ?
Thanks

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor
I also think that a basic requirement of a bicycle display should be ease of reading in all conditions. The KT-LCD3 on this I believe is absolutely unbeatable. I understand that for the memory problem it will not be possible to insert all the new functions, but it would be nice to have the basic fea...

Hi Buba, it's possibile to have more filtered values in sub-field where it's show the istantaneous Amp absorbed and fill the First character with a symbol like "A" ? I think it's a good thinks fill, where it's possibile, all the first character of any sub-field to improve readibility. Thanks

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor
Okay, thank you! Hmm... So your measurement on the display is off by around 0.8 %. I am not sure what it can be. Maybe related to the TSDZ2 hardware and caused by the riding weather, location, environment, etc. But I can not confirm this as more users need to validate the measurements. I do not thi...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor
EDIT: This is really important so I want to throw out one last comment for anyone interested: the margin between the min and max limit should be as large as possible. So set the max limit to a value you feel is almost at the edge of safe operation. Maybe 90 degrees Celsius? And then have the min li...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor
If anyone gets to the hard max limit very often it is usually because the min limit is too high. Try lowering the min limit and it will help with a better thermal control. So if you have: Min: 75 °C Max: 85 °C Try: Min: 45 °C Max: 85 °C This will start to limit very, very slightly at 45 degrees and...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor
Now we are close to 40 ° and riding a bicycle is a real pain. I noticed that the voltmeter in the 20 version marks 0.5 volts less. Is it a problem with my battery or has anything changed compared to previous versions? Now I'm on holiday and have beautiful Mountains. On the A5 I found that the volta...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor
I have limited myself changing the FOC calculation in any meaningful way for the 0.20.0 as this needs to be validated and accurately measured. There is a way you can change FOC without touching his code, that is by adding more calculations on the main loop making the code more slower. Let's say you...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor
Here all Ok.
New bike, new installation with Alpha 4, all seem to work well.
Number of motor power change less quickly than A3 but still too quickly for me.
Seem the motor is more smooth in acceleration than before.
The symbol in navigation menu was very useful.
Big thanks
