Re: Motorcycle starter battery

1p ? Maybe 2p or ? A123 are great batteries and are a great choice for a 12 volt starter system as 4p. Bms ? Is this a road bike dirt bike scrambler ? Buy the cells with pre spot welded nickel strips to solder to . Is better than soldering and heating up the cell. A wet sponge will help cool down af...

Re: Melting wires

For phase wires I have found 4mm bullets great. For speed and ez use after the 45watt iron heats up. Meaning I hate dicking around with Anderson, jst and different types of white molex ect connections. Then fitting my crimping and solder into the housings. Now to the garage to cut the ring terminals...

Re: Melting wires

So I'm not hearing a lot of support for the three wire yellow phase wire block with special nuts and ring connectors coming on the more inexpensive kits. Somebody must be using this at 3000 Watts ? Or 5,000 watts.

3.5v is full for lifepo4 there is very little capacity above that. 3.8v is something it could tolerate. But the SLA charger doesn't disconnect if goes into trickle charge best to charge it then unplug it.

Re: Melting wires

I have had problems with Anderson's sometimes working good some ain't worth the hassle. Gold-plated bullets you see what you got you can feel it. Yes could be a little more of a pain to use and solder, but make ajig ( as I need to ( just got 10 pairs 4mm and 20 pairs 5.5mm ) . I guess I should take ...

Re: Melting wires

I use crimp and solder on all signal wires as some are only 7 strand 24 gauge. My phase wires are 4mm bullets so need soldering and my battery wires are 5.5mm bullets that need soldering. Where does that leave me ???

I use 7sp 11t but needs a washers for a shoulder for the frame and need a spacer washer I use those slot washers for the 10mm shoulder and so the chain doesn't hit the frame

Re: SOLD: EM3EV 52v 15Ah rectangle pack

That's a beautiful battery I have been looking for battery of 72 volts so my options are very limited I would love to know how well this battery worked after it changed hands . As I believe a well-built battery will last for 5 years 1,000 charges or more just my brain having a question

Re: my 18650 frame pack build

Maybe there was a small air gap between the stiffer pos. End with mutli strand and solder combo. Giving a spark gap blow out. Maybe hold down with a chop stick if you have a third arm with hand attached.

Re: DIY battery pack bms question

Balance the pack manually do not rely on that poor little BMS to balance out of balance pack. It's to help keep a balance pack in balance at end of charge.

Re: Enabling regenerative braking on eBay hub kit

How about a pic of the controller and wires ? Is there another set of single wires that can connect to each other ? Not all controllers are set up with wires for Regen even though you may be able to solder wires onto the pads inside the controller to add regen

Re: DIY battery pack bms question

I start with a balanced pack before I hook up the BMS that little BMS would have a tough time balancing a super low cell and a super-high cell

Re: DIY battery pack bms question

Tell us how you hooked up the sense wires ? Where did you start start with the BMS unplugged ? Fetcher uses a method of plugging the sense wire plug from 1- 14 at and aggressive voltage sequence. Plugging it in at an angle as 1 through 14 or in a building voltage scenario.
