Re: How long will puffy SLA last?

When I was a kid a I got a radio for Christmas. Then a disaster happened. The fricken' cheapass Ray-O-Vac batteries leaked and ruined the insides  But it did not explode or violently burst into flames. It leaked . Damned Zinc -Carbon batteries! The point of this tale is that leaking , and swell...

Stay calm. SLA's are also known as "Acid Starved Batteries" http://batteryuniversity.com/learn/article/lead_based_batteries and while you can blow damn near anything into shrapnel . ....AND although the SLA can surely be made to "violently destruct"... It is not high on the overall battery "explosiv...

@amberwolf. Brother. From your words that I'm reading , you are simply in the darkness before the dawn . I've been where you are now. I've even entered into places where only half of us have walked out of. I have seen neighborhoods swept away in a single night. Your writings remind me of the faces o...

Re: battery is throwing sparks from the charging cord

I had immediate problems with that piece of shit RCA plug on my first aotema kit years ago. So yeah, you need to fix it. You haven't ruined anything yet I think, not even the charger. Open up the bag, and disconnect the red positive wire and the black negative wire from the battery pack. Now you ca...

So, the items I'm looking at are, item number on HF website first: 68751 The HF solar panel kit, which I first mention in this thread: I'm not sure it'll ever be powerful enough to do anything really useful with, for my purposes, especially for the money. With the 48V 1000W kit I suggested, and 20ah of 12s lipo that weighs <15lbs, you could make 20 miles wot at about 28-30mph or 40 miles @20mph for at total cost of ~$700. You can have these parts at your door in a week since they will ship from the USA. Or you can spend a lot more and not get as muc...

I've always wondered, is there a truly free country (or a territory), where one can live completely tax-free and not worry that the house he paid his money for will be repossessed by a fat and greedy wasps? So far the bike has been great, currently running 26x1.95 front and rear I was giving it throttle into a corner at about 20mph over a small puddle, the rear slid out and the bike wiggled like crazy before stabilizing, I thought I would have crashed for sure.
