Re: Ebike "The Resurrection"

Sweet ride. Looks awesome! Thanks Ken! Sorry for the delay. Update: I ran into a little snag. Until recently, I've been running the bike chainless. It was fun riding without a chain but the idea of not being able to pedal the bike out of trouble in case something failed didn't sit well with me. So ...

Re: Ebike "The Resurrection"

Just rode the bike for the 1st few times over the past week. All I can say is wow! :D  The ride is amazing! It's so great being able to accelerate faster than cars and keep up with them to a certain extent. The best part is when they keep looking at you through their rear view mir...

Re: Hyperion EOS 1420i Firmware/software problem: cell volta

Ok Figured it out! For anyone else who may be having an issue: I determined that there is usually a delay between the Hyperion and the computer. So sometimes if you change a setting from the computer it will not register right away. I noticed that the "COM # HyperionEOS1420i NET3" sign changes color...

Very cool build! Looking forward to seeing this progress. The fan blade concept looks great. I always wondered if this concept would work well for those RC motors ( https://www.endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=31253 . Glad to see that you are testing something like this for the hub mot...

Re: Hyperion EOS 1420i Firmware/software problem: cell volta

My charger is ONLY seeing cells 1 and 2 on my 4s pack. I charged my pack with no problem before. I dont get what Im doing wrong here. I checked this pack with my cell log 8 and all the cells (1 to 4) show up. Any ideas on what the deal is here? EDIT: changed out the balance board and it recognized a...

Re: Info needed for 8x7 9c- Mystery white wire

I've been stairing at that image while I've been on hold for a customer for the last 20 minutes. And the more I look at it, the more I realized something was wrong with it. When you make an "8" you start from the top, draw an "S" shape, then pull the bottom back up through the center. the center ma...

Interesting! how can i test if this is a temp sensor? What would i need to hook it up to in order to get a reading?

Ps its an ebikekit motor. Not sure how much the seller knows about the wiring for it.

Re: Ebike "The Resurrection"

Update: Went through each cell. One by one, the old school way, with a multi-meter I checked all the cell voltages. My HobbyKing order for a cell checker is taking forever!! Can't wait till it's in. Checking Lipo cells with it will be much faster. I also figured I should start logging the cells to s...

Still got a lot of learning to do about Lipo charging  Not sure how I over looked it. I think you spoiled me with those diagrams. Its much easier to understand that way.

Thanks for the assistance!!

I guess this is how the 8s2p should be hooked up:

Re: Charging 20s2p with Hyperion EOS 1420i Net3 Charger

You can now charge this 12s section as 12s2p by breaking the ser4ial connection bewteen bricks 3 and 4 of the pack. You can then charge the rest of the pack as 8s2p. I run 4s packs as 24s2p and split in middle and charge the whole pack as 12s4p using the 4s to 6s balance cables. I think I'm missing...

I've been doing a lot of soldering lately and the tip has been holding its tinned coat. Finally got the PSU's fully modded and running at 24.8v. Here are some pics of the mods: Wir...
