Re: la Nina rears her ugly head

I'm in Oroville and there are no reports of serious slides yet , however the fire zone is still off limits without good reason. It will be a few more days until the roads are considered safe enough to reopen the area. There is still a lot of debris on and unsafe trees over the roadways. PG&E is stil...

Re: List of small hatchback cars

EVen though I'm a Honda guy, I'd say get the Subbie. Where you live and drive, it should be the only choice. All wheel drive, plenty of room, and decent fuel economy. For the rust problem, undercoat, then undercoat again. A weekly wash and wax during winter will also help a lot. Re: "For the rust p...

The only place I have found, is China by way of eBay. That said, I have some 450mm and 500mm that I could spare a couple feet of. Hit me with a PM. The stuff is measured flat so the dims to use are one side and top either direction.

Re: Putting the old guy next door "on steroids".

Just build a pack from these . You will only need 32 from the box of 80. :P I have bought 6 boxes and of the ones checked so far, they all seem to be around 3.33 volts. Use the best offer and offer $80, they will reply with their $100 minimum. You may need to have them shipped to a US addres...

Re: Ryobi 18V lithium battery pinout?

This Ryobi BMS consumes power even when the battery is at rest. 0.222mA, or 4mW at 18.5V nominal. The good thing is that it draws power from all 5 cells so no imbalance is created. Thanks for that tip. It's good to know IF  I ever need to store my packs. I use the tools so much, I'm probabl...

Sam; I get a 1.7V A/C not D/C on the two small middle contacts. 20.2 on the main contacts. I believe the third vertical contact is for voltage sense for the BMS just not certain

UPDATE: 20.55 End of charge on the main contacts. :D

The lithium packs have a BMS. The two contacts are for the charger diagnostic circuitry. And possibly to turn the FETs on to allow charging. :?: I am NOT an expert, but I have the same pack open awaiting some new cells. :(
