Re: Motor comparison spreadsheet

The 154mm outrunner as it came ordered as 35kv before rewind. (40 magnets, 36 teeth) and 4.9kg 0.0263 ohms. 33.6kv A picture is worth a thousand words :D Apologies for the delay larsb. There's a pic that i posted up with this stator a page or so back, and more of the whole motor on alibaba if that ...

Re: Andre´s GSXR 1000 K2 with QS Motor 273 80H, 34kW

It seems you have enough room on top of the swing arm just in front of the rear tire to add a "mid"drive motor with a chain to the hub motor. That motor would also put some extra weight on the rear tire. A used motor and controller from a Zero motorcycle would be perfect. But even a 110V brushed mo...

Re: Motor comparison spreadsheet

Just to fill in the gaps: Joby JM1 0.01 ohms phase to phase. inductance 21.7uH. uses around 590w to do 8500rpm. JM1s 0.015 ohms inductance about 28uH used about 580w to do 8000rpm -it was an early one before they went to thinner 0.12mm lams. and the rest of the specs in the spreadsheet are correct. ...

Re: Motor comparison spreadsheet

The 120-100 or CA series motor (also with a bit more quality and watercooling as the colossus) is a pretty good motor, the Chinese style specs mean nothing im afraid -and this motor would be about 2 or 3% less efficient than the 154 motor but i don't think can be beaten for torque in the 120mm diame...

Yep that's the same kind of motor speedmd, the one ive been working on is a 50mm stator version and has the skirt bearing -the one you have pictured is the 35mm i think. and you can get any of them on alibaba also. Yes, thats well put madin. and out of all of these types of motors, its the high pole...

Re: Motor comparison spreadsheet

Thanks speedmd, the d7500 is the same sort of design as those gng or bht type motors but its a fair bit bigger. The airgap is 90mm and a 60mm long stator and those outer bolt holes you can see in the case are 160mm apart, also the case is pretty long because there is a separate and adjustable hall a...

Re: Motor comparison spreadsheet

Hello Toolman2 do you have data about the 7500w btw motor? How we can have a joby motor? Yes no probs, the d7500w: Its 4 pole pairs 66.8KV (with a brushless rc controller) 0.0205 ohms And used only 98W to do 2627rpm from 39.3v inductance is pretty high at 87uH, and pole count is low so any controll...

Re: Motor comparison spreadsheet, add simulator link?

Just an idea here but since we've now added the ability to input a custom motor on the ebike simulator page ( see https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=1324922#p1324922 ), you could in principle add a column to this spreadsheet that uses the string and math functions to produce a direct...

Musk may not realise how "dangerous" some of his ideas are. ..Not physically neccessarily, but he has huge influence, so when he says something people respond and some blindly follow. ..such as the Solar+Storage battery total solution to utility power ! The whole Mars thing seems like a folly, or e...

Good information. So ebikes can run but they are not considered to be competing in the race for recognition or prizes. I still don't see a list of what "specs" are required about an ebike. Thanks. I've tried to bring this topic up a few times related to mid-drives, but it never gained traction. The only time I've seen it brought up by someone in the know was Toolman2, who mentioned a "jacking effect" during acceleration that was noticeably different, but it was easy to become accustomed to i...

at 650 phase amps burst, i say 2-3 drag runs before you will feel motor saturation with no cooling installed. will you be doing any cooling mods to the motor?, or you going to break in the winding a bit, then think about adding it later  Any hub motor i've tried will usually start to feel ...

Re: wye - Delta -> differences and stereotypes

If the motor was built to be optimized in Wye, it will run like crap in Delta and make lots of heat. (No matter where your halls are timed) If the motor was designed to be optimized in Delta, terminating it in Wye will result in poor performance. (No matter where your halls are timed) If a Delta/wy...

Ok, this has been done before, but lets do it again... find a motor on the sim with a kv of x. find the same motor but with a kv of 2x. Now, lets run motor x in a wheel size 2d, and motor 2x in a wheel size of d, but with their voltages equalized. Motor 2x can still handle 2x the current of motor x...

Re: Vector e-bike Frame 599$ /Adaptto/Parts WORLDWIDE

So basicaly there's no need for 15kW controllers on MXUSes and 205's, right? So Adaptto Midi-e (8kW rated with 120A battery) is more than enough as far as I understand, if settings are correct. if you dont WANT more accleration or Topspeed. Absolutley yes. be happy with it. if your pants get wet af...
