Re: methods LVC/HVC/Parallel -> documentation thread

Ok, so my setup is below, it's exactly as per Ritchie's diagram for battery config and im happy that I can follow Methy pics to connect up, however for ease of understanding i'll reference Ritchies diagram, a few things I don't get: 1) Is the new potted HVC the same as the old unit in that if the fe...

Re: methods LVC/HVC/Parallel -> documentation thread

Hi All, Long time no post!! i'm just about to wire Methy's boards and HVC breaker, i studied Richie's excellent diagram and then also Methys pics and i think i'm ready to have a stab at it. I have come to the conclusion that i am in fact a little stupid, i've had my bike for about 5 years and i stil...

Re: Hyena's e-bike builds (now with HD video)

Thumbs down on riding on the golf course from me i'm afraid, being a keen golfer as well as loving my ebike never the twain should meet imho. if you were riding where you were supposed to ride and someone was cracking golf balls across you you'd be rightly miffed. If no one elses interests are respe...

Re: E.S. bottom bracket drive.

If you are happy with the compromise of only being able to contribute meaningful pedal input at low duty cycle. hi Miles, this is the bit i can't compute  , as long as the throttle control is good and the motor is happy to play at low duty cycle without burning, i dont see any need to limit th...

Re: E.S. bottom bracket drive.

Hi All, In answer to the early posts in the thread the rc setup on my kona had several problems, worst offender was the freewheel at the end of the jackshaft meant when pedaling i was circling the 219 chain which was taught (no tensioner) and two bearings before i got to the freewheel, the belt spro...

Re: Bzhwindtalker's Blue FR (GNG mid drive)

Great vids, I'm watching your thread on the gng most as I know you'll test it best :) Ballsy efforts on the jumps, I thought you'd landed the grassy knoll leap, looks like you did then got a kick back in the other direction. The gng looks like a really well priced unit, the build quality isn't that ...

Re: GCinDC's Scott Nitrous 20

Hi Greg, Have a look and see what size steerer tube the forks on the scott already have (nice bike) - could be 1 18/th with an adapter? if your in luck you can take the bombers to the scott and sell the gt, if the zokes don't fit return the gt to stock and sell it anyway, the forks should sell on eb...

oh, ok i get it, thx Jay/Greg, i'll give her a run on standard settings and see what gives, i was assuming as with the rc HV controllers that when you hooked up you got a display of the current settings, sounds like with the lyen its more of a flash eprom type gig and you store your own setup as a f...

Re: GCinDC's Giant DH Comp

Greg,

Do you need to have the controller powered when programming? I'm just setting up and haven't hooked up to mine yet, its standard 12 fet lyen so i think i'll back off your settings slightly, also i dont have any vent holes in the hub - suggested phase and battery current?

Re: GCinDC's Giant DH Comp

Hi Greg, Moving the pacers sounds like a bad way to go to me, what you need to know is how much space you have above the top crown of the forks? by the looks of the photo you have a few spacers so you may be able to remove the direct mount marzocchi stem and replace it with a standard stem (this cou...
