Re: E-Ducati Build

Late late updates due to busy busy days. Let the work keep on going!! First thing first, I've got a new 1098 frame because the red one was damaged at the steering bearing. Unable to seat a new bearing. http://i1210.photobucket.com/albums/cc409/EngineRumbles/EV%20bike/WeChat%20Image_20181018011649.j...

Re: Specs Performance for 80-100 motor ?

I also searched for a long time for detailed specs on these motors, but could never find anything useful. I think it doesn't exists because it is a motor intended for hobby purposes. My Castle Creations 160HV measured over 13.000 Watts with 10S, however I don't know how reliable that measurement is....

Re: Help me choosing a 10kW continuous system

Have anyone tested the new line of controllers from QS? The LBMC? They got a 72v700A almost at the bottom of the page in the link below. If my top of the math worked it should meet your 30 kw peak and then some, always good to have a little head room....it seems price are about three times the APT,...

Re: Help me choosing a 10kW continuous system

Cyclone seems to have a 18kW motor and controller ($549.- + $289.- excl. shipp.&tax): http://www.cyclone-tw.com/motor.html They are used on their ebike: I suppose that is 18kW peak? The motor looks rather small. I cannot find any datasheet on their website either? http://accelerated-systems.com/wp-...

Help me choosing a 10kW continuous system

Hi all! For a new project I am searching for a very powerful brushless system. My previous bikes were all build with RC components, topping out at 13kW peak power. Now, I am looking for more power, much more... I am seeking for help choosing a plug and play system for my new project. It will be a co...

Re: Number One - 11.000 Watts

Thank you for the reply. Unfortunately the ESC from APS that I was planning to use with the APS throttle interface went to ESC paradise. :D The good news is that it was a spectacular event. Now I switched all my efforts to learning everything that I can about VESC. So far so good. I was able to hoo...

Re: Another 2-speed dogbox

A high-powered 2-speed is not for everyone, but I like the idea, and I would also like to see a cost-effective version. I can make a custom aluminum housing, but I am curious where to get the guts for the 2-speed, rather than make my own (like Thud's) I also like the idea of a 2-speed dogbox a lot....

Hey Patrick, From what I remember you used APS throttle interface on your Number One. My APS interface has 3 wires: yellow, orange and brown and thumb throttle white, red and black. Can you post how you connected these two units together? I used the APS throttle in the past, I switched back to the ...

Re: Number One - 11.000 Watts

I received three SLS printed parts out of Nylon. Originally they were white, I painted them black. They function as: - Sprocket/chain cover - Motor cover and extra cooling (two 40mm fans, one blowing in wind from the back of the motor, the other one from the side) - Electronics and wiring cover The ...

Re: Number One - 11.000 Watts

Nice build! What kind of riding do you use it for mainly? Up till now only for fun rides (hard accelerating and braking) in areas without too much traffic. Occassionaly I drive in the forrest, but the throttle is very sensitive and with all the bumps and imperfections in the road it leads to unwant...

Re: Number One - 11.000 Watts

Walk around.

Plastic motor, gearing and wiring cover still not ready. I am optimizing the airflow in the motor cover. Also ordered a new sprocket for the 100+ km/h run. But I will do that speedrun once this bike gets too boring for me, which will take a while I think

Re: Number One - 11.000 Watts

Would you care to tell us more about your problems with Alien controllers? Is the housing of 80100 motor 110 mm long, or part of the shaft is included in that dimension? Re: Number One - 11.000 Watts

No it will need heat treatment. Personally i dont think that is something to make a problem. Should exist some kind of heat treatment company in every other town. And with aluminum you dont need that high temps. You're right. But I think it will be pretty expensive to design a frame and weld it by ...

Hey man awesome build. I love this build. I have been wanting to build a mid drive ebike for quite a while and have two questions 1. How much did this build cost you? Specifically how much did the cnc cost you? Also where did you get the 80-110 alien motor? I don't see them on their website anymore...

That's a very nice build you have there, The voltage gauge is the only thing I'd swap to something with a watthour like the MHF-120300, it has memory so it remembers previous state of charge its easy to calibrate by holding clear button for three seconds, its bi directional so charging through the ...

I completely assembled the drive unit. I also started assembly the battery box and electronics. The batteries are a very tight fit. It all feels very sturdy and it is very compact. The battery box is small and because it is underneath the frame, it keeps the COG very low. I think this is an almost p...

seeing you ride that bike makes it hard to supress my wish to build a high powered mid drive as well. i like my 2kW bike, great to ride, reliable and everything, but i doesn't wheelie at all. and for me a perfect ride has ALWAYS more power than you dare to use. then it's properly sized :) Believe i...
