Re: Any Phoenix, AZ area riders / builders?

What happened to evoforce? Still around! I don't visit this site often because I am very immersed in electric vehicles for now. I currently own 2 Nissan Leafs and a Tesla. Amberwolf and I got together last Saturday to catch up a little and I got to ride his 3 wheeler. Very capable ride! When the we...

Re: Are any of you guys looking to order a Model 3?

Well.. we own two Nissan Leafs and have been waiting for the more affordable Tesla to hit the market. But... there are some other manufacturers that plan on having higher mileage all electric cars on the market soon. So... we will have to see what horses are in the race at that time.

[quote="miuan"]Have you tried to locate the 12V rail on the pcb? you could just run it directly to the fan, so it would always stay on.[/q

Yes I have thought about that as a possibility, but as of yet have not figured it out. Would sure help to have a schematic. Might get to it this weekend.

Re: FranKingCharger?

If you wanted to bring it by we might be able to look at it here...but I probably won't have an available day off to do stuff like that until at least the second week of August. (sometime later in August or early September I hope to get a week off). Thanks! I'll have to see. It has temporarily gone...

Re: FranKingCharger?

Its not activating the fan as it normally would. It now has made priority on my list. I have it torn apart and need to get her done. Charger working great except the 12V side of operations. Can't use it without the fan. 88V 10amp charger. Gets hot fast here in Arizona. Nothing looks abnormal, just n...

Yes, I am soooo tempted too! But I have way to many incomplete projects already. But this project is exactly up my alley. My lady would kill me... I can feel the strangle hold around my neck now. Electric motorcycle is on my bucket list. And your pack is Headways just like my race bike except race b...

Re: May 30th Willow Springs Socal Motorized Bicycle Race

Cool looking race bike. Way to represent! I was running with headways back when I was racing too. Also had a flat myself while racing, and another time poor connections, and another time melted phase wires, and another time popped controller (spare was sensorless  couldn't get off the line qui...

Aaaarrrrrgg!! XLR connector

I've been able to conquer almost everything life throws at me but soldering these 5 pin mini xlr connectors infuriates me! You would have to know me to know that I am calm, collected, and methodical when working on things even when things don't go as expected. 99% of the time I do not get angry. But...

Re: Nissan Leaf EV

Don't get me wrong, when I have run out of battery or had some technical problem with my 75 pound e-bike and have had to pedal it very far, it was definitely a pig to get home. I guarantee that I scope opportunity charging for 110V for my e-bikes as well as my new e-vehicles. I have pushed to many t...

Re: Nissan Leaf EV

I myself don't have range anxiety but my lady does. Her car will do twice the mileage that she needs to drive everyday but still is worried about having more range. She has a anxious time about even thinking about driving it in the red. There are a lot of miles in the red and I have been trying to g...

Re: Nissan Leaf EV

We sure enjoy ours, although we purchased a 2011 SL, Feb 28th 2015, and another 2011, April 28th 2015. One has a new lizard battery (12 bars), and the other has 10 capacity bars. So we are the lucky second buyers with greatly discounted very nice autos. Those that can afford to should take advantage...

Re: New Leaf Owner

I would like to see a ton more Level 3 chargers. Those are operated by 3 phase and not available currently to residential hookup. I am probably like most people and want to charge in as short of time as possible in my trek. But there is a need, for people who have their cars sit all day while they a...

Re: New Leaf Owner

I've had the opportunity to look at and sit in a Kia Soul EV after an electric car race in our area. The owner purchased it out of California and had it shipped to Arizona. It seems like a nice vehicle. I can see why you are anxious to get it! Also the previous owner of one of my leaf's got a Merced...

Re: New Leaf Owner

Sounds like you got yourself all fixed up with plenty of outlets now dnmun! I almost ran a 100amp subpanel run to the garage a while back, but in my case, it would have needed 2awg. But... I just kept adding home run circuits back to the main 200amp service panel. The very last run I did, I had enou...
